[WillieGRamireZ] « On a dit que Logan Thompson serait ouvert à un échange avec un candidat aux séries éliminatoires … et où il serait surnommé le n ° 1 »
Been told Logan Thompson would be open to a trade to a playoff contender – not necessarily a powerhouse, just a team that is in contention – and where he would be dubbed the No. 1, considering Adin Hill is on brink of re-signing.#VegasBorn https://t.co/SiMXaoq4cG

LT, buddy, you’re probably the starter in Vegas. Like…get healthy for the start of the season and you’ll see that.
I’m pretty confident that he ain’t going anywhere. Also as far as starts go, assuming both Hill and Thompson are healthy they’re gonna split games in a 2-2 fashion where each play 2 games in a row (aside from back to backs) unless one proves themselves way above the other
Choosing Hill at 4.9 instead of Thompson at 766k over the same two year time period is the type of deal people look back on and say, hey that helped close a contending window.
If the choice is Hill or Thompson there is no choice. Thompson 100% of the time.
IDC if someone offers to take Lehner with him, just buyout Lehner and roll with Thompson and any of a myriad of other goalies.
I’m not gonna worry about it unless jesse granger or sinbin start talking about it. LT seems like a super competitive but very team oriented guy. As long as he feels like he has a shot at re-earning the net, I think he would stay
Is thompson asking for a trade then? Otherwise it doesn’t make any sense and this is a total nothing story
Uh… us? That’s us.
Hot take. If we were to attach Lehner’s contract with no strings attached to the trade, id be open for it, would solve the Lehner cap hit issue and allow us to keep people like Barbie and eventually Stephenson and Marchy when it becomes time to renew their contracts.
I might be being stupid, but isnt he in a playoff contender that thinks hes number 1 already?
pic or it didnt happen
This is a load of bull shit. Thompson is guaranteed to get a bunch of starts for a contender in us. Who exactly would have a better opportunity for him right now other than us? This is a bunch of spiel that would only happen if the VGK received an absolute haul for him.
Would be the best tandem, rotate every couple of games to stay healthy. When players get greedy and especially since he’s been hurt and out of the picture it’s hard to say how long he will last. We did that with Lehner and we paid the price. Hill and bro would t be a bad tandem either as they both did fairly well. If that’s what he is saying now then the price tag of him will definitely be up…
Isnt he number 1 what
This is bs… I might as well be a NHL reporter I can say shit like this all day long
This is prime offseason clickbait. The tweet he’s responding to says « I’m told a few teams have called Vegas, inquiring about a Thompson trade. »
The response is « I’m told Thompson would be okay with that, as long as they’re a contender. »
So with all of the details we know, the conversation presumably went like this:
> « Logan, we heard teams are trying to trade for you. What are your thoughts? »
> « I guess I’d be okay with that, if I’m a starter for a contender. »
He didn’t ask for this, he got asked about it.
No shit, GMs are trying to ask about Thompson. His contract is salary cap porn. What isn’t stated *anywhere* is a willingness from the VGK end to deal him. We know what we have, trying to move him when we’re this close to the cap would be suicide. But if you’re the VGK front office, you’ll absolutely let people send you offers to politely decline.
Don’t read too deep into this, don’t let the title/tweet’s lack of context rope you into a completely made-up narrative.
Vegas is gonna make a huge mistake if they let Thompson walk. Hill had a great playoff run but it’s more likely he’s a Matt Murray or Binnington type player.
There is no way this team lets LT go. He’s an amazing goalie on an even better contract.
LT is the actual #1 in VGK as far as I’m concerned. Unlucky for him he missed his window. A lot like Crawford in Chicago, he just barely missed the bus, but Crow stuck around and took over after the first win and they built the dynasty on his back. LT is the future.
