I hate this signing so much. You can have toughness in your lineup but you also need guys who can skate while being tough. Reaves isn't going to be able to keep up with any of these guys. I don't care if he is a good locker room presence this is a waste of cap space

Reaves wants to play, the Rangers traded him away because he wanted more ice and they had no room for him. They liked him so they traded him. As a Ranger fan you think he's going to do more than he does. He's more of a deterrent since he's more of a heavyweight than most of the league. No one stopped running Rangers players they just avoided Reaves and fought guys like Trouba.

Reaves would be a nice compliment to another player or two that doesn't have qualms when it comes to deliberately injuring other players. Like Cup teams have and the Leafs don't.
As a Vegas fan good thing for Toronto. Always loved the guy when he played for us. He won’t score goals or rack up points but he’ll absolutely play good physical hockey and create other things and fill another role. Toronto needs that

Good addition for the regular season but he won't be any help in the playoffs.
reaves will hold every player accountable , so when nylander is late for meetings he will receive a beating
toughness wins in the playoffs and the Buds aren't tough. forget the analytics, kids, anywhere and anyway the Leafs can get tougher is a good thing

What I will say is that if he is going to continue to do this, a guy like Reaves is one I don't mind.

If you think I'm being harsh, let me add that the teams that Ryan Reaves has played for during his career have won 4 cups (3 teams) and not once was Reaves on the roster when this happened.

I'd be really excited if this was 3 years ago. Reminds me of the Simmonds signing… big name on the toughness scale… too old to matter now. He'll play 40 games as a Leaf tops over these 3 years.
Ryan is great to get but as toughness nothing really change for us. Until we have toughness in our top 6, and not just standing up for yourself toughness, but a guy that starts the pushing around
