I’m just commenting because I think you are very cool and it’s awesome you’re posting here! Upvoted so hopefully someone else here can help 🙂

I’m in the same spot as the other commenter. Not certain what is needed, but wish you the best of luck. Your best bet would be to ask your teammates how they got in, rather than us, or your coach if that’s possible

One thing regarding career options … many west/central European teams are forbidden from hiring KHL players due to invasion/war and embargos. It won’t of course seal your career as you could perhaps play in North America or smaller European leagues, but it’s perhaps good to know that.

    Good luck!

There doesn’t appear to be a KHL draft and hasn’t been one since 2016. So I’d suggest asking one of them or contacting a team directly and asking.

I would maybe contact a sports agency to see what you’d have to do to get on the CHLs radar. Again, I’m just a simple man on the internet, so I have no idea if anyone would even take you’d call, but it’s worth a try.

CHL does their annual import draft, I’ve seen players as old as 17 get taken in that draft. You could end up anywhere across one of the 3 CHL leagues (WHL, QMJHL, OHL) in that draft.

Good luck! I’ll be keeping my eyes open for your name in future drafts. Hope you can get here.

Elite prospects has a feature where you can act as an agent on your on behalf. Check that out. Also check out agents. Ask your local pro guys? If you just keep doing your thing you will be able to support yourself playing hockey. All the best to you brother

Your focused too much on your stats and judging your talent to others. Simple answer just play well and things will happen.

European players are usually drafted when they are 17 (1 year away from the NHL draft) or 18. If you’re born in 2008, that would put you ~2 years away (25-26 season). Most Canadian players born in 2008 won’t play in the CHL until the 24-25 season.

Talk to your three real life buddies who successfully did what you want to do as opposed to asking anonymous Reddit users who likely have no idea?

    Edit – fixed a typo

Damn! Goal per game! That’s incredible. I hope to see you in a NHL sweater one of these days 😎.

Might be worth trying to contact teams in the BCHL.

The league just left hockey Canada and now allows 2 European players per team.

By far the most NCAA commitments come from the BCHL and there are always players getting drafted to the NHL out of the BCHL

This season you’ll be playing in a higher tier league that is scouted frequently enough by north Americans (not just the CHL). Focus on playing well and having fun.
