What am I missing here? Why do we assume DeMelo is whining/lying or somehow caused this/is responsible? Seems like a pretty harsh/one-sided response against him and not Sprong. I’m assuming there’s a lot more to this story, just confused by the reaction..

Like who knows what happens at this point. Could be a cut and dry case and all that but it is quite funny how he publicly names and disparages Daniel Sprong and then just throws in « Don’t ask me any questions. it’s a police matter ».
If it’s a private police matter why call him out publicly before it’s been addressed by the courts? Kinda silly.
What do we think unfolds after this? Is there a NHLPA protocol where it gets reviewed somehow and he doesn’t play? – I heard NHLPA was rewriting a bunch of policy after the Chicago situation but I don’t remember where I read that.
