Habs had had worse, but that was is up there considering who they skipped over.

    Injuries kinda fucked Patrick up

Oilers talent management busted yakupov. He should have been in ahh for a couple years. Just like the many players they fucked over.

Ahh, Anaheim. Dylan Larkin and Kevin Fiala were up next too

I would argue that Julius Honka was our biggest bust. Another 1st rounder that never filled out

I feel kinda good about the Kings choice being Forbort because he wasn’t that bad of a stay at home defenseman. I was afraid it was going to be Byfield, who has sucked so far. He does have excuses with a broken ankle early in 2021/22 and Covid early in 2022-23 but I just haven’t been impressed.

Gave Virtanen a lot of credit

Jack Campbell? How is he our biggest bust? Hello, Honka? Maybe Tufte is he gets trapped in the A?

I wouldn’t call some of the players on this list busts. Quite a lot of them turned into decent or even slightly above average NHL players, just not with the teams that originally drafted them. Whether or not those teams got back value for moving on from them is different matter.

Jordan smaltz was a bust but there were wayyyyy worse picks for the blues.

Can’t really call Dach a bust if the team gave up on him after only 2 full seasons (he was only 21 when he got traded, and for reference, Seider from the same draft class only broke into the league at that age)

Yakupov is definitely the biggest bust in this list. He would probably be on at least a Top 5 of the worst 1st draft picks of all time.
