First
57 for Caufield you heard it here
Good video but for the stats they will need to stay healty first
I highly doubt that Reinbacher out plays Barron and Mailloux this camp. He is still only 18. Reinacher will play in Laval or Europe.
Wideman out ,young guys in
I’d say that cufield gets 39 goals
If Slafkovsky puts up 55pts that would be awesome, but highly unlikely.
I will be very happy seeing him take a couple of steps forward in the right direction. I see him breaking out in another 3-4yrs putting up 60+pts
It takes a while for young players to turn a corner and learn how to outplay their opponents in all situations. They also had enormous problems shutting down games when they had the lead, so that's a huge question mark. There wasn't a team in the league that was afraid of giving up an early lead to the habs.
I think Dach and Slaf were mixed up. It makes more sense for Dach to get 55 and Slaf get 40 or watever
The day you stop being thirsty for subs or at least ask at the very end is the day I subscribe
David (popcorn) Reinbacher 😄.
DR is going back to school 1 more year, he said that at the draft.
I think Caufield would have hit 50 last year if he stayed healthy and I feel like he's coming into this year with something to prove.
Stephen A. Smith must have done this for ESPN 🤣
I'd much rather see Reinbacher take his time and develop in Europe for atleast this season, that allows for more room to really see if guys like Barron, Xjheckai, and Harris can really consistently step up their game this season. No need to rush Reinbacher this year.
No way Reinbacher plays in NA this year. Let him go back and dominate where he's comfortable.
If you're drafting David Reinbacher 5th overall, it's so that he can hopefully be a top pairing guy down the line. At 18 in the NHL, he'd be a third pairing guy at best. Better to play Kovacevic as your #6, especially because he's good at it. If Reinbacher goes back to Switzerland, he will be the first pairing guy in Kloten.
I don't trust their prospect
He might out score Ovechkin but he will never play like Ovechkin.
I might not agree with those predictions but I can see the WHY they made them.I assume they are considering that Dach does not play with Cole and Nick and when he doesn't he is not very good. They THINK Slafkovsky will get 55 because he is MTL's baby boy he will be gifted more ice time than he deserves heck he is already on the team no matter how he plays in pre season.
If you are truly a habs fan you should be upset that other players work their butts off to make the team but won't because Slaf steals a spot he did not deserve.
Caufield 50 goals, for 88 points, and the cup coming home.
Isn't the off-season such a hopeful time? Can't wait to see how it plays out. Exciting times.
Reinbacher needs to gain 25 lbs.
d men are harder to adjust to nhl.. give him a chance to man up a bit more… he s going to do mistakes on smaller rinks on pressured plays and then they will say he is not ready and ruin his confidence.. let the guy grow in another big league while we get to know our already in lineup guys.. i dont know who to drop for reinbacher right now, too much to know who i would kick out without a doubt… night guys!
I have no doubt that Reinbacher could probably make the team if he plays well, especially on RD. But still i dont think its as simple as sending players down, i think Kent Hughes has some strong relationships with the young players (especially the American born ones, a few of em on D) and i think he guaranteed them at the very least a fighting chance to make the team. Im not saying this is a bad thing, i just think since thats the case and hes a man of his word, he doesnt have pressure to win that much, the team isnt a contender, he can go by age and also avoid making an 'unforced error' by making a hasty trade.
Long winded…lets make it short, he gets his 9 games, plays well looks good for the future and goes for another year in Switzerland.
I think that the first Dman to go in the draft is expected to play.
We won't see the best of Reinbacher, until Hutson is with him
Of course, we'd be happy if Slav got 55 points. But it's not realistic. 40 for Dach is nuts unless he's injured a lot. Why is 26 a lot for Ylonen?
I am at the loss when it comes to eligibility to play in the NHL or AHL so maybe someone could tell me if it is possible for Reinbacher to go to Laval. That would be my solution. As an Austrian myself I am looking forward to see him in Montreal but I think he's not ready for the NHL yet. The AHL would fit him perfectly.
Guys come on …… it’s GOAL Caufield
You also have to take into account that Rhino, is not used to the North American ice size 👍🏻
The only reason I don’t think Reinbacher makes the team this year is because we still have Matheson and Savard under contract. He’s likely good enough but I think they would like Hutson and Reinbacher to step into the team next year at the same time.
Let's not get too overexcited on DR called back … of course they want to give him opportunity to skate and play with stronger NHL/AHL players to see what it is like and then go back to Switzerland knowing what to work on …
Guys, get real. When Hughes first became GM, he said that the habs would be focused on making sure their prospects were fully ready to play in the NHL before being brought up. Goulais plated less than 1/2 a season and got injured. Slavi played less than 1/2 a season and got injured. Now you want to bring in Reinbacker and expose him to Reaves, Lucic, and the new gorilla they have in Ottawa. These guys will try to hurt him. Our young prospects need to develop, and mature for a couple of years before putting them in the NHL meatgrinder. I thought you guys were experienced hockey analysts but I was wrong. Wake up before all of our young prospects are nursing injuries that could hamper them the rest of their careers!
Bring him to camp but let him develop a few years before the N.
