  1. Surprised, don’t think the k train has a shot for that role? Honestly for me, it makes sense to trade branny, he’s too good for a bottom pairing defensemen, he can easily go to Anaheim and play big time minutes, use that money for pinto and see if Jamiroquai Bernard Docker and Kleven is a solid 3rd line with hamonic as your 7th

  2. The one-way deal won't factor in for Parker Kelly at all, because A) his entire cap hit vanishes if he clears waivers, and B) losing him on waivers (which I don't see happening) would NOT feel like a huge loss for Ottawa. So unless he adds that annoying element to his game, as Ross suggested, I don't see him getting many games. He should spend a few weeks watching Jarkko Ruutu tapes. Hahaha. And I'm excited for Jiri Smejkal. if he can build some quick chemistry with Pinto or Kasty in pre-season… I wouldn't hesitate to send Kelly down for even a second.

  3. The only rule change I would do is get rid of the trapezoid. My favorite Ottawa restaurant is the Lone Star and I'll only eat at their OG location as I've been going there since I was a kid and it was half the size it is now.

  4. I'm 4:31 seconds into your podcast, and you still don't want to see the facts. The Sens only had 11 regular time road wins out of their 15 wins out of 41 possible wins; they had 20 regular time home wins out of their 24 home wins, out of a possible 41 wins. Stop telling me their better then what they really are. Don't blame me for the fact their not good. Dudes, each and every spot should be open for contest. Maybe the question will be for upcoming season, how long before something HAS TO Be done, will be the question?

trying to convince audience their playoff contenders when their really not, means Sens failed at picking up valuable draft capital especially down at the San Jose//Montreal level. This should be a very, VERY interesting year.

  5. Why the heck would Sens try to nurse their way into the playoffs, in p/offs, there's no shootouts and no 3 on 3s. Trying to acquire talent for all the future draft picks just leaves you with nothing in the barn and a damaged defenseman that has to be replaced 3/4s of the way thru the season? it was a bad investment for a first round pick.

  6. Brannstrom and Kelly CANNOT feel an ounce of comfort this season. I want them to literally have to fight for their life to play on this team, I want to see blood. Both are completely replaceable with all the other options available. We are beyond keeping guys because they try hard or because they were developed by the Sens, be the difference between the Sens winning and losing or gtfo. No more paddy cake BS, this isn't the National Friends League.

  7. Regarding MacEwen’s wins/losses in fights: It isn’t about winning. It’s about sticking up for your teammates and stepping up. As long as you’re dancing, that’s all that counts. It’s not like he’s landing zero punches every fight.

  8. You know I be having me a chicken shawarma pita with extra garlic at the Chapel location after men's league at Ottawa U. Dangerous that a Popeye's has opened across the street, haha! As for a restaurant to make up the trifecta, Colonnade Pizza (original Metcalfe location) has always been a favourite of mine since childhood. My family still goes and the pizza is still super good (the best in Ottawa in my opinion, but I know that's a touchy subject). Frank's Catering (Greenbank at Hunt Club) has amazing sandwiches too. If you're in the neighbourhood, check them out. As for the Sens, if Kleven has a strong camp, I want to see him paired with Sanderson to at least start the season. Great show as always lads, cheers!

  9. I really liked Travis Hamonic, a very reliable and solid defenceman. The only thing I didn't like was when he pushed the opposing team's player onto Anton Forsberg. I thought that was a stupid play and could have avoided the injury.

We're all allowed mistakes, and it is easy to judge in hind sight rather than being on the ice in that moment. I just hope he thought about that play and how to avoid it in the future 🙂
