No cup til Tavares is off the books. He is too slow too soft too expensive , he will not and cannot pass. For the price I could have another Bertuzzi and Domi.

Nylander would definitely say yes, if he is a center, he will ask for more in his next contract, when comparatively to other center in the NHL who scores 40 goals and 80 points.
He was drafted as a centre, and I think this is better than throwing him in as a centre halfway through the season in the middle of a game. See if he can do it. Tavares would be a very effective winger.
What's wrong with trying Holmberg as the 3rd line center? I thought he played well last year.

I'd rather them figure of Nylander can play center in training camp and pre season games than having Nylander in the center spot in a freaking elimination game like they did against CBJ

Having Willy as a third line center is a joke. He is a top line player in most NHL teams except Toronto. It is just disrespectful to his talent. If I were him I would not resign in Toronto. If you want defensive players that can not score you can easily get a whole line of them for the same price as Willy.

You guys should do a Jerry's % on how many games b4 Keefe is fired, 25, 30 or 40. He won't last the year. Should have been fired at end of last year. He's a lousy coach.

How long did it last the first time they did this? Like three or four games at the start of his career. I am shocked they revisited this 8 years later. They have had a player that probably could play center and put him on a sabbatical from playing center for eight frikking years.

I figure it came out of contract negotiations. Nylander said I'm better than Tavares and I want 11$ million. They said ah yeah but he's a center. His reply was well I could play center, you didn't let me. So they are letting him try it. I feel that a Nylander – Domi – Jarnkrok line is a recipe for failure but Nylander- Tavares- Domi, could work. if it does he gets his $11 million. Tavares then converts to the wing and gets a lesser deal.
Domi started at center in Montreal but he lost that job despite the 28 goal 72 point season. Cause he couldnt really play center
It’s to add value to him if they decide to trade him centres get paid the most out of all forwards. It’s a smart move. And leafs have tons of wingers now. Needed to happen.
