I know it’s only preseason but why does our special teams still look like it’s being coached from the 90s. The PK just sits in zone and waits with no on puck pressure, and the PP entry is as predictable as last year 🤦♂️

I hope that Slafkovský has at least silenced the Canadian and Slovak critics, because the reports I read about him daily from coaches who have never played professional hockey are laughable. Give the guy time and most of all rest, he is still only 19 years old. It is not easy for a boy from Slovakia to fully adapt to another continent, where there is a different ice surface and a different game system than in Europe, even after a year. He's played in Europe his whole life and you can't expect him to play as slowly as McDavid after a year. This is probably what critical fans have been waiting for.
