listen Matthew Knies needs to play in the top 6 in my mind Nick Robertson can play on the 3rd.These Rookies in camp have looked good and looking forward to seeing them in the next year or so. We need to stop trading them away. Great show
The new pick cowan is impressing a lot of people, and he's great, but all the stories are put on his playoff run.
I'd like to highlight his regular season with the london knights. Cowan got 7 games with london at the end of 21-22 season as a tryout. The Hunters liked him so much that they gave him a shot. The 22-23 season he started with bottom minutes, and when an opportunity came, he took it and never looked back.
He went from bottom minutes to top line in a little over half of a season, and his point totals reflected it. His points were low in the first half of the season because he didn't have minutes to play.
Let's also not forget this is the london knights, who are one of the perennial cup hopefuls every year. There are some players who play for years for the team and cant crack the top lines.
All this to say im excited for the kid. I dont think hes ready this year, but i dont think he's far away either. Maybe as early as next year, if he's thrown on the wing.
