Yeah, tell the coaches to simmer down. That’ll fix the reasons why they’re yelling at y’all.
Maybe tell the refs to shut up as well? As soon as you hear them, they sound like asses that change the flow of the game to get back at players. Give them a better pay with more accountability.

Then tell the refs to stop enforcing unwritten rules and managing games because it makes the game worse. Also the DPS is in desperate need of an overhaul.
Tell the refs to stop stupid game management and get some damn consistency.
Fans, media, players, coaches, GMs and even owners have all been publicly critical if NHL Officials.

Get better refs, tell refs to stop influencing games, deciding outcomes, and playing favorites.
Fix your own problem by telling the officials to call the rules and only the rules.
Just because refs « evening out » or « balancing » the games has been the historical norm, doesn’t make it right.
We’re all pretty sick of it.
Don’t complain about how your refs are treated unless you are also committed to fix what’s broken.

Saw Berube laying into the ref for missing a major penalty while the players is sitting there bleeding. If they can’t take the heat for their fucks ups they need to go be a cashier at hobby lobby. Players coaches front office hear about it when they are wrong. Refs aren’t special or immune.
Maybe if the NHL released referee performance cards like they do for umps in the MLB, we might get better officiating. I watch games from teams I don’t care about to see and man the reffing isn’t just bad for my team.
As a ref I will say less berating makes me perform better. But at the same time, the refs negligence has been so bad it’s a threat to the players this year. I honestly don’t blame the coaches at all.
Then refs should keep their mouth’s shut as well.

After watching NFL games I have to say NFL referees are the best in a sport. I never feel there is an partiality and their main focus is on simply enforcing the rules and getting calls right.
The NHL is the worst. Just call things consistently. Regardless of score or situation. And use replays or huddle as a referee group if necessary to ensure the right call is being made. An overhaul is necessary.
Or the refs could just avoid the berating by doing their job the way it’s supposed to be done.
I’m almost off hockey now.
Because of the refs, the NHL bullshit, and the cost.
But mostly the refs.
You know how they interview players after games and ask them about how they fucked up and lost the game? Do that with the refs.
I don’t understand why it’s allowed to curse out the refs.
