I don't understand why ownership would get involved with a GM who was trying to make the team better even if that means trading Evgeni Malkin or Chris Letang especially when the 2 players mentioned above has been the main cause for the not so great start to the season, but ownership cannot handcuff the GM from doing his job , I understand Rutherford has made some bad trades and signings lately but if he had a trade in place to move Letangs ridiculous contract out the door and his many turnovers in crucial times of games which end up in the back of the pens net more times than not then my question is why ownership would stop a positive move to get rid of turnover Letang??? I hope that the new GM isn't going to get handcuffed like Rutherford did there in the end???
