I don't want no blockbuster trade which involves Perry, Mrazek or Maroon. they're too old and slow, especially if we're giving up prospects and picks. We need to get "something" in return. IMO Montreal might have what we need, and we have what they need, or want! I hear they're interested in Bourgault and Mcleod. So , why not Mcleod, Bourgault, Bouchard, Campbell, Desharnais, for Jake Allen, Josh Anderson, Dmen Matheson & Xhekaj (Jackeye). IMO Bouchard is never going to improve on his defensive play, in fact he doesn't seem to want to. Besides Nurse or Matheson can take over the pp role. Maybe even recycle Ethan Bear for PP purposes? Remember he ran the best PP in the WHL his last junior year, even won best WHL Defensemen that year. Was never really given the opportunity to run the PP here!. IMO he has similar shot as Bouchard but better defensively, would fit in nicely as for Cap. IMO Montreal is building for the future and I see this Blockbuster trade as being very realistic. You have to give up "something" to get "something!" Come on Holland make it happen!

As a Hawks fan I'd trade Mrazek and Perry to the Oilers for Campbell and their 2024 1st rounder unprotected. Its worth it they keep their current prospects but the Hawks get a shot at another top 5 pick.
How about Drai , Nurse and Campbell and a first rd pick to Columbus. Laine,Provorov and Elvis the goalie and a 1st end pick.

Lack of defense and goaltending aside, hockey is a two way game. Its played on both sides of the ice. When your stars don't play two way hockey, you lose.

Monty over in Montreal is hitting his prime and playing incredibly well with a really young mistake making D core. he's 27 and is the equivalent of Carter Heart statistically. that's PROBABLY Edmonton's best bet at a solid 1b Goalie. The Habs are in a rebuild as well so they could take on the Campbell contract and it wouldn't really hurt them as much as other teams since they don't need cap room for a few years. they also have Monahan and Anderson needs a fresh start somewhere. he's a big boy who's fast. wouldn't do much for your cap room but it's the player type you are looking for. would probably cost you a 1st for Monahan, and probably two of your best prospects for Monty and having to buy out Campbell. but it gets you were you need to be now. so 2 prospects, a first, and campbell for Monty, Monahan, and Anderson
