Take the Pens logo out and it’s 4 Canucks at the top 6

  2. We’re really reaching the bottom of the barrel of data analysis huh.

McLeod is gonna blow barn doors to kindling when he finds it. I just hope it’s with us. He’s a rush god who hasn’t found that last piece of the puzzle yet.

The real title of all these things should be “expected stats are not a perfect metric of on-ice success”. Which, of course they are not.

Not that there aren’t good players on the “unlucky” side, but compare those two lists. Clearly the group on the “lucky” side is better. Maybe it’s not luck then.

  5. VeryLastChance

Why can’t other teams have the two luckiest players in the league as their top pairing? Are they stupid?

    Devil’s D in shambles

  7. SorryImCanad1an

Hamonic being on the “lucky” list is horrifying.

  8. dragons_fire77

Oh, so the Jordans are just unlucky. That makes more sense.

Hughes team at #1 with 8 luckiest dudes

Hughes team at #1 with 5 unluckiest dudes

I trust the hockey gods to correct this🙏

I’m not really sure how to read these things, but I’m going to assume that it’s awesome that there’s so many Oilers on page 2

  11. 4 players in the bottom 15, and none in the top 35. Sounds about right

  12. JonJonFTW

I *knew* there was a reason why Ryan Reaves’s elite offensive play was not showing on the score sheet.

  13. daveloper80

    Damn, Demko needs to chill!

I’m surprised Elias Pettersson isn’t on there, do you know about where he would be?

  14. ColdSplit

You’re saying Holl and Chiarot should be even worse? Fuck me.

Sanheim/York pair loading up to explode

  16. dandroid126

Yep, Mario Ferraro is just unlucky. That’s the only explanation.

  17. One Blue on the list, and it’s Colton Parayko at second-to-last.

That makes some sense. Parayko has been genuinely good this year. His back has finally healed, and he’s *by far* our best D. But the team sucks, and half the guys seem to be pre-gaming with Nyquil. Colton can’t do it alone.

Not surprised to see Beniers here..he has passed the eye test this year and has really picked it up lately but that slow start didn’t look like it was a skill issue.

  19. mattfromjoisey

Ryan Reaves isn’t “unlucky.” He’s bad at hockey.

  20. Beauvillier was playing so “lucky” that he got traded to the Blackhawks lol

  21. Canucks fans: “*chuckles* I’m in danger”

  22. Hunter2hitman2

Cries tears of Alberta crude oil

  23. Future-Astronomer-54

raddysh and sergachev being the most unlucky(?), oof.

  24. JacketsNest101

All this tells me is that the Preds really are THAT good considering not a single skater from them is on either list
