  1. TBH, I understand why the NHL wants to stay in Phoenix, since a huge market and metro area,
And if I were to start the NHL from scratch I’d keep a team there for that reason, (despite it being in the desert (even though that’s not why I’d keep a team there, but for the fact that it’s a huge market and since you said Phoenix has at least over 6 million in its metro area in one of your previous Arizona videos and it does)

And BTW overall my NHL from scratch is actually similar to yours, ( I did also stick with traditional markets mostly, and only take very few risks) since I went with Atlanta over Vegas as I said many times,

And yes I did too, put other teams in locations where the NHL previously failed

And also BTW the southern cities in my league would be as follows:

    Atlanta
    Dallas
    Houston
    Nashville
    Phoenix
    Tampa Bay

  2. I feel good for the Coyotes fans. As a browns fan I know how it feels to lose a franchise. Glad to see they’re staying in Arizona

  3. theyre probably going to have Connor Ingram build the arena since he knows so much about brick walls

  4. I'm gonna give that Coyotes arena plan about a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding. Like doggy, if it was a 100 mil, sure, maybe they can pull it off. A two billion dollar hockey arena project for the Coyotes? Ain't no shot, UNLESS there's an actual big need for some type of a multi-purpose arena there anyway.

I'd be happy to eat crow on this, but don't think I will be.

  5. Yotes buying land and building arena just bankrupt them faster. Best solution is move QBC. Guaranteed fortune there. Bettman blocks should be removed. He an asswipe.

  6. Buying land is all well and good, but what if the facility doesn't get constructed? I think this announcement is being done as lip service to ease the pressure from the Board of Governors.

  7. If the coyotes ownership had 2 billion dollars to put up for an arena why the hell did they screw around with Tempe deal??? Probably because they are uncertain that 2 billion will have a return on investment hints why they wanted all the tax breaks from Tempe

  8. As a sabres fan, this has the feel of rushing back to try to salvage the season, which he did last year as well.

The problem I have with that is he did this last year, and was limited in effectiveness because he wasn't really at 100%.

Sabres need all the points they can get, but I'd rather wait another game or two to truly be at 100%, because if he's playing at say 80% for a stretch, there's a real chance that can do more damage than good, especially if it gets worse due to game activity.

Sabres simply cant lose tage for another chunk of time like this

  9. I'm not on the move the Coyotes train, however there's been so many obstacles to get a building, I'll believe when they're finally playing in it.

  10. Anyone know where is the property located in Phoenix? Crossroads please? Guess they decided not to build in Mesa. For Mararello to salvage any respect from the loyal fans of decades, he needs to build the new arena himself.

  11. Chabot injured again no way im shocked hes never injured. Excited Greig is back he was the best forward in the games he played and the advanced stats back it but high ankle sprain who knows how he looks

  12. The Coyotes haven’t bought anything. There are a lot of hurdles to get over before that deal is done.

  13. It would be cool if the sphere advertised which team was making their pick, Oilers go to make their pick and they're shown bright and centre in Vegas. Would help catch the eye of tourists

  14. I would be a bit surprised if the Coyotes changed their name. Phoenix population is about 1.6 million while the Phoenix metro area is now about 5 million. They would risk alienating a portion of fans that would consider themselves Arizonans, but not Phoenicians. I also suspect that the majority of season ticket and luxury suite holders will come from outside Phoenix city limits.

  15. The NHL has to stop praising their Golden Child. Las Vegas is literally the NHL's Veruca Salt.

  16. Hoping to announce plans next month? No they HAVE to announce plans next month, it's their deadline.

  17. Rename them the Phoenix coyotes again😂 but honestly, their revenue would be so much better when they are literally in Phoenix people will just say oh it’s a 30 minute drive not when there is traffic and you literally are watching a team that hasn’t been good and they’re starting to be good but it’s still you’re playing in a college arena and it’s still far out. And the actual Phoenix, the city itself that would be amazing, and the revenue would surely increase for the coyotes, and that is the best case scenario because that’s where they originally started off and that’s where they thrived in for a long time before they moved to Glendale

  18. As someone who recently visited Arizona this past month for the Kraken-Coyotes game, I have to say that contrary to popular belief there are passionate & knowledge hockey fans down there as they sell out Mullet Arena (though that's easy to do since it only seats 5,000). Let's hope that this new arena gets approved so that the Coyotes stay there & their fan base can grow with a bigger arena. I also wanted to say that the media in Phoenix needs to start covering the Coyotes as there was barely a mention of them on much of the local news that I watched during my trip as everything was about the Suns & Cardinals (who are absolutely terrible this season).
