Rangers-Kings cup rematch. So we can whip their ass this time
Rangers are looking super strong, so that means presidents cup and first round exit. Vegas looked unbeatable but looks like they came down to earth. With all these teams so close and even teams not on the board anything can happen. So many injuries in the NHL and it could totally change everything. I am commenting as a FL Panthers fan and I don't trust this team. They are either Ice cold or dominate. I am tired of their play style. Don't do anything, don't do anything, go down 2 or 3 goals, then start playing. I don't understand why they don't start pushing and make plays before going down. They are protecting a 2 goal lead in the first period while down 1-0. Makes no sense. It appears the wings will be there at the end, but its a long season. Pittsburgh is still trying, philly is meh maybe, tampa might get it together, so its anyones year this year for the top 20 teams. I want to say watch the Sharks limp into the playoffs just by one point after being so bad to start the season. I will never consider the Habs a contender no matter what their record is because they are always soft and have no superstar power. Boo Habs, boo.

If the spoked B's could handle an empty net these numbers would be even more impressive (like WATCH OUT RANGERS) impressive. ….just say'n
I think Carolina will be fine. I think they have a similar record to what they had last year at this point and the new players needed to find their footing. Now, it’s about getting consistent goaltending which I think will come as the season rolls along
Lidstrom will be tough to beat
Stars are just fine, have a real chance to win the cup and routed the Rangers
Panthers are a weird case because for all of their firepower on offense, they’ve kind of struggled to finish chances recently, and that has extended to the power play. But they have been phenomenal defensively. They generate takeaways and force giveaways, they clog passing lanes and they lock it down in their own end, making zone entries almost impossible. The additions on the Blue line in the offseason have been huge.
Just gotta get the offense going. They’re getting plenty of quality looks, just not finishing like they should be.
If the Kings win tomorrow, you should do a 10 game winning streak video as it would be a 10 game road winning streak. This might actually be more impressive than a regular 10 game winning streak. (Assuming any 10 game winning streak is regular)
I understand you enthusiasm for Makar, but the are LOTS of Norris' and Cups to go. Pump the brakes.

The kings schedule has been one of the toughest so far in terms of opponents played. They’ve had a ton of off days though.

One gets called best dman ever and the other gets “he’s good”. Even though Hughes has been ridiculously dominant and has been better than Makar this year. The guy controls the game like no one else. He has the puck on his stick 40 more seconds a game than anyone else.

The only explanation I can come up for Washington's performance thus far is that Carbury's shiny head is distracting all the opposing players and distracting them from scoring
Out of your list you still have some pretenders. You should have maybe 6 teams there. Example leafs are pretenders
I bet the Leafs fans can't wait for the video about the records of better teams against those unlikely to make the playoffs (Blackhawks). I do sympathize, it has to be extremely frustrating.
this is fine statistical information but i would have liked to see some more opinion in it as well. if you do it this type again please consider adding another 2 minutes or so to say which teams you actually see as contenders and which as pretenders. in the meantime, thanks for the videos.
