Oh boy… After that the league should suspend Watson for his own safety since if he gets off scott-free he's gonna be a marked man for the entire rest of his career.
Blasting a slapper directly at your opponent is basically the number one thing that isn't 'technically a penalty', but you should never do.
Stupid play, but it looked like an accident to me. Not really worth all the drama. They wear pads.
I am shocked, SHOCKED a lightning player did something dirty. Well not that shocked
Austin Watson was arrested for domestic assault. Enough said.
You mean Austin Watson the former Predator?
Hockeys self policing and you know the old saying, what go's around comes around. He will get his.
Austin Watson is still in the league????
Every season has at least one of:
"This, this is why fighting is in the NHL, we're whacking a tiny rubber thing around with now composite and carbon sticks, and whacking each other with these items too, sometimes you need to let players know when enough is enough"
Can you cover the topic about Jalen Smereck getting fans kicked out and people booing them at a Toledo Walleye game
Average Lightning behaviour throwing a tantrum when they are losing.
Daniel Alfredson did this the Nidermeier in the playoffs back in the day. Clearly on purpose, yet he got a pass seemingly.
Bring back goons, they will make sure he never fires a puck like that again, you think Probert would have let that fly?
I don't even mind it, goons make hockey entertaining and I watch sports to be entertained.
I think this is a good time for Bettman to immediately invoke a new rule (as instantaneous as when Avery's shenanigans on Brodeur were outlawed the very next day). The new rule would allow a player deemed to be shooting at an another player, with an intent to injure, be banned for a huge part of the season – to be used at the discretion of the commissioner. The rule would be such that the suspension could be invoked at the mere belief that the intent was there.
Trying to say he meant to hit Lauzon is a dumb ass take
Disgraceful behavior is you defending Matt Petgrave…
Watson, no integrity and is no longer an NHL caliber player.
I remember when Lyle Odielin turned away from the play and took a slap shot into the Buffalo bench…..
Don’t flamingo your feet. Hurts way more when you get hit on the top of the foot.
Nashville broadcasters were making excuses for a Tampa player's gutless move? Wtf 😂
I do this in chel all the time what’s the big deal?
Kings made NHL history last night as well
Was there and definitely agree it was scummy. You should've covered the goal the refs robbed from Forsberg also just how perfect it is for him to score on star wars night lol, also also could've pointed out how our pk and our pp was great but I'm not complaining anytime you cover the Preds I'm happy lol.
Man shut up about the Rangers. We get it. They're good
I'm a huge bolts fan but this is just stupid lmao. Shows why Watson hasn't played a lot this season
This is not a cheap shot. People take full ice shots at the end all the time. I'm a defenseman. I see more biscuits than a fat person at popeyes. Not much stopping that but your pads and your balls. I've also been hit in the achilles. Not fun, but it's part of hockey and he definitely wasnt aiming for Lauzon, thats just how the puck rolled.
I think it’s a penalty if you shoot for a goal from behind your blue line
At least Watson didn't kick a guy in the neck.
Watson did this type of scumbag shit when he was in Nashville. I guess some things never change.
I'm just here for the Daniel Alfredsson comments
''he was going for goal''… yeah I'm not so sure about dat one lol.
