The last three games after his shutout he has not looked as if he is not seeing the puck well
I just want to note, that I do not want to disparage all concerns about the Stars, I believe that some of the conversation around Otter is an overreaction. Certain concerns about the team are completely justified and this episode is certainly not about disregarding those, I wanted to highlight some positives and why I think some trends wont last. Better times are ahead!

Personally Im concerned about the Identity of the team. I think thats the entire issue here. The inconsistency on some nights, its almost jarring. There are nights otter is 31/32, The boys play fast and hit hard, 30+ shots, and can score, There are nights in the middle, But there have been FAR too many where they get out hustled, Otter gets beat BAD, and oh by the way every shot he faces is a 3 on 1 breakaway bc the def. has the speed and energy of turtles. Theres no identity, It feels like they’re coasting and waiting for the postszn. The talent is there, Otter is the guy, they can score 2,3,4+ any given night, they have to WANT IT.
Key guys having down years is not good to see early- they had some rough stretches last year too

The worst thing about this team is the defense, everywhere else they seem fine. It’s very easy for one thing to bring a team down, they’re lucky there’s no other issues just the defense. The Colorado Avalanche are at the top of the division but they’re inconsistent too also no leadership their captain has not been playing for a year and a half. No one seems to want to be the leader in Colorado. Defense wins championships.
Every team has rough patches throughout the season. There’s too much talent on this team for them not to figure things out…
I knew that dallas was gonna lose this one for a while now just based on experience watching sports. Interestingly, this season series against vegas is very similar to their playoff series last year. (G1 OT loss – G2 OT loss – G3 Blowout)
I agree Otter looks like he has lost his confidence. It does not help when the other teams forwards are left alone 7 feet in front of him in the slot. Our defense has been pushed out of the way by all of the winning teams. We need some size and grit in the d core. Top line for whatever reason looks slow. Slow to skate, slow to decide.
Dallas to third just 3 in front of Nashville. The players are the only folks who can turn this around. Not your positivity.
I am concerned with their level of play. Can they, and will they get out of this rut? I think they can and will. Every team goes through it.
My real concern is the ease at which they fall into the rut. It seems like with every time they face adversity, the stinkers follow more quickly.
A couple things with Jake. I’m not turning on him and don’t think we should trade him. I think he’s a good goalie.l and needs to get out of his head. Will he ever be a Vassey, or Igor? Probably not.
I know the defense is the easy target, but it seems like any dangerous shot went right past Jake.
The goaltender’s job is to stop the dangerous shots, otherwise teams would be rolling Six on five for 60 minutes.
With Wedgey, I find myself thinking, “ as long as they have a good structured game in front of him, he will give us a chance to win”
Right now I’m not feeling that way with Jake.
Yes….we need 2 morengols scorers or bring up the top scorer from the minors. Jake is not good right now. Play wegwould more. Where is 21 91 14…..we are getting nothing from them and we need a new mean big D men…….DO NOT WAIT……these players need to step it up!!!!
Leading after 1 tonight. All defense scoring so far. They seem a tad pissed off at themselves. They are playing with a bit of pride for a change.
