I think most Oilers fans agree that we wish Kris well and hope he does great. Seems like a great guy.
With that being said, Woodcroft was an excellent coach and was the scapegoat for issues stemming from management decisions, brutal goaltending and genuinely unlucky offensive play.

It's true that coach's are hired to be fired ,but they don't put the Puck in the net ,and they don't stop it from going in, this was a huge mistake by the oilers at this time It's not your fault Jay the player's they let you down what a shame , good luck in the future

The Oilers are systemically messed, beyond just the players and head coach. Giving Woodcroft the boot isn't going to change that, and I don't think Katz cares.

Oilers messed up big time. Look at your captains response…I think Ken Holland and management is out of touch with the demands of the team. We needed D two seasons ago. K cool, we got Ekholm..then he signs more wingers and doesn't address goaltending at all. The worst part about being an Oilers fan is that We are smarter than management.

At first I thought this was a McDavid creation. After hearing him talk, he actually really does sound shocked and kinda pissed here. Makes me wonder if he's just a great liar or he is also scratching his head at this all….. Will go down as one of the worst of all time decisions for this team when Woody goes on to win a cup first.

Hopefully the oilers get 10 times better from here. Islanders are one of the worst teams in the league and it shows. 9 times out of 10 Oilers will lose a game like this. This was the one time they won. Tough stretch coming I predict. Unless the emotion picks back up drastically.
