Well that’s a load of horse shit.

  2. Massive_Maize8334

Tell me you didn’t watch the game without telling me you didn’t watch the game.

I don’t know how people are arguing this. It was a retaliation and clear intent to injure; 2 things the NHL sometimes actually punishes.

Should Cousins get a suspension? Yeah you could argue it, but others will show different angles and say he couldn’t have avoided the hit.

Zucker decided to board him instead of dropping the gloves, hence the suspension.

I’d say it was worth it though.

And yet Trouba only got a 5k fine for a two handed tomahawk chop to Frederics head. I’m not saying the guys in DOPS are taking hallucinogens or anything but…wait yes I am, they are on drugs, clearly.

  5. burntfuck

Ah yes, notoriously dirty player Jason… Zucker?

  6. H8ersAlwaysH8

Should of just two handed slash him in the face. Only get a 5k fine that way.

  7. ProfessionalAir882

Well I guess he should have gone with the Zucker punch instead.

  8. MrJeffA17

The wheel has been spun. Better luck next time

  9. TiredReader87

Of course he deserved a suspension

  10. SilkyBowner

I can’t believe he got 3 games for that. What did Cousins get for his hit on a vulnerable player just before the Zucker hit?

“Enjoy your days off kid and get some rest. You did good “

  12. NorthboundUrsine

While I agree that he should have been suspended, Cousins also deserves to receive supplemental discipline for what he did as well.

Two wrongs don’t make a right, but the second wrong doesn’t erase the first either.

  13. CapriciousnArbitrary

3 game suspensions should be handed out much more frequently, this is a start. But I’d much rather see stick infractions get this treatment.

  14. Vlistorito

It’s the right call but he also did the right thing.

  15. N7Panda

Hmmm, maybe if the NHL took player safety more seriously, guys like Zucker wouldn’t feel like they need to take matters into their own hands.

I hope Cousins steps on a rake.

  16. PhilMcCraken2001

He did what needed to be done and Zucker has won over fans from all teams

  17. Careless_Suggestions

Guess next time they gotta make sure cousins sits a couple days on IR as well. Preferably in a dark room

  18. rollsoftape

Once again, Florida goons skate free. Parros is a complete clown.

  19. captain_catman_

Cousins should have expected someone was coming for him after leaving his feet to hit a downed player. But instead he was standing up straight facing the glass

  20. thundercat1996

Cousins suspension is where? Is George Parros blind now like the refs?

  21. debid4716

Right call for a bad hit. But given the circumstances I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same in his position

  22. Cash_man

As a panthers fan, I would love to see Cousins get suspended

  23. Calling__Elvis

Cousins uses his elbow to hit the first guy in the head area. The Zucker hit was shoulder to shoulder (except the puck was far away). Zucker gets suspended but Cousins does not?

  24. Halcyon-On-N-On

NHL going the way of NFL…a joke that writes itself

  25. MAJORMINORMINORv2

    Should’ve hit him harder

  26. fastal_12147

I’d like to see a breakdown of this year’s suspensions by conference. Seems like the West has way more so far, but I’d like to see the numbers.

  27. robbiedobbles

Even leaving out the initial Cousins hit, I think 3 games is a bit harsh for the boarding. 1 or 2 games would have been fine. But when you add in the fact that Cousins comes out of this with nothing, it just makes the NHL look terrible. I just don’t see how anyone at the league can think that the DPS is doing a good job.

  28. Santa_Claus77

It’s just like what Larkin said when he got injured a couple weeks ago. NHL player safety doesn’t give af.
