  1. First off the Bar was or is so low after last season . So the signings alone have improved the bottom 6 . More speed and grit as well as more bodies to create competition and compete for the bottom 6 to 8 forwards.

This improved depth allows the Oilers to push a contract or two into the minors . Freeing more Cap options as the season progresses. Every issue the Oilers have is impossible to be addressed in 1 off season . These moves help stabilize the team and allow 1 more year of development for blue chip prospects in Barkersfield . Which creates even more improvement in 20/21 and more cap relief even helps more .

  2. This lineup is a 100 percent way better than last year, just to clarify I’m not say that they are guaranteed a playoff spot but they might have a fighting chance

  3. For me my ideal top six would be
    DRAT-McD-Chaisson
    Benson-Nuge-Neal
Why breach up the great duo and have chaisson or kassian who can create space and finish the goals hat they need to finish, Neal and nuge sounds great but adding a great playmaker in benson could be perfect for the two others, hopefully he succeeds in the nhl

    My bottom six
    Nygard-Grandlund-Archibald
    Khaira-haas-Kassian
Bottom six now became faster and more skilled but little experience, third line can score but also very good defensively, bottom line is the bigger hitting but we still need that kind of identity but it’s no longer slowed down by a guy like Lucic

Let Yamamoto sit in the minors for the first half, same with bear and Bouchard, maybe Jones starts as a 5-6 dman

Edit, I forgot about cave, I really like cave and if haas does not work I like cave as a 4th line center, ganger can be our 13 forward

  4. My bottom 6 lines
    Nygard granlund kaissian
    Khaira haas. Archibald
    Jurco currie
    Top 6
    Draistal mcdavid Neal
    Benson nuge Chiassian

    Defence
    Klefbom larsson
    Nurse. Russel
    Jones. Benning
    Persson

    Smith
    Koskinen

  5. Bottom 6

    Benson-Granlund-Archabald Shutdown/forecheck line
    Gambo-Mcloed-Curry Baskerville Boys
    Gagne 13th Forward until traded

  6. The way I see it the oilers have 3 first line forwards (all of which are centres) and then 20 third line forwards and that’s it

  7. Jurco, Haas and Nygard=3rd line High speed and skill euro line, Holland's stamp on the team. Archibald Khaira Granlund 4th line Grit and scoring. Maybe switch Khaira and Haas if Haas has trouble adjusting to North American game. Same thing with Archibald and Nygard, Kassian= #13 Cave=#14, Broadziak gone, or in AHL. As a wings fan, the book on Jurco is work ethic, if he fixed this upside is high. Your 3rd and fourth are interchangeable, Kassian slots in on any line for injuries on wing and for muscle. Don't know minor leaguers and prospects well enough to place them in line up.

  8. Oilers fans, im a flames fan. You have two first line centers in mcd and drai, nuge is a 2nd liner, and the rest of your team are 4th line benders lol

  9. Drai – McD – Kassian (Kassian for the grit and getting into the dirty spots to retrieve the puck on the fore-check, and you know he wouldn't let ppl touch Connor)
Chia – Nuge – Neal (Chiasson parks in front of the net, Nuge sets up, Neal shoots)
Khaira – Grandlund – Ganger (The SUPRISEEEE Oiler's might score with their third line once in awhile now line)
Nygard – Hass – Cry Baby (The all EU line)
