No urgency, no checking, no energy, no goals, no desire, no defense, no Stanley Cup.
This is a pure smoke and mirrors team. They've magically stayed atop the league. They have no business in the top 10. And I am not saying this based on their recent mediocrity. I noticed that they were a porous team that merely outgunned or out-goalied their opponents since game 10. PL keeps repeating himself over and over; no compete in the 1st. The 2nd, and 3rd were great. Peter the 2nd and 3rd can't be all that great because good teams find ways to find that additional gear and overcome the opponent. How many come-from-behind wins do they have thusfar?
They will back into the playoffs this year and maybe go a 7-game loss in the first round…again. They are the San Jose Sharks of the Eastern Conference, when SJ was making deep runs in the playoffs and then collapsing in the conference finals or earlier. Last year's tank makes this abundantly clear.
