I wasn’t really a fan of us trading him last year. Totally get that his finishing ability is subpar but waivers? From everything I saw on Twitter/X he seemed really well regarded by NYI fans?

It’s an analytics move. Statistically he’s been ones of the worst players in the NHL the last month. It’s too bad cause his speed and size are great.
