I don’t actually agree with your statement that the jets need to be winning all the time to fill the building. I think that if the organization should decide at some point to go into a rebuild and they then communicate that plan to the fans, the fans will get on board and still support the team. Controversial opinion as a lifetime Jets fan and season ticket holder since 2011. By the end of this season we may have to consider Connor Hellebuyck as the greatest Jet of all time (not franchise, but Jet, including the WHA and Hull). Does he pass Ducky? 9 seasons each more or less. Possibly 2 Vezina trophies, more playoff series victories than Ducky? Putting nostalgia aside.

Jets core maybe isn't as much talent and firepower as Leafs core, but at least it's very cheap, which means Winnipeg can afford good players on their 3rd line while Toronto can't afford Zach Hyman or Michael Bunting as a top line winger.
The white out doesn't have a good history for sure. Why should they go back to original NHL Jets jerseys? WHL jersey throwbacks make more sense from a winning perspective.
This confirms my ongoing perception of Winnipeg. A solid team for the time I e been following NHL closely. They have had a depth to core I enjoy watching them..and the main problem is the team needs to realize they are just good good! ✅
