Honestly was not that bad of a performance. Hit quite a few posts and both Rangers goals Vasy should not let in. Hopefully that shakes the rust off and they can get back to pre break form. Also hopefully Sergy’s injury is not as bad as it looked I feel awful for him.

Not posting the Kachow due to the loss of our players… not a fair reason to Kachow.

Prayers for Sergy, I assume he is done for the year, but I hope he gets healthy in whatever time it takes. The team may have lost, but it wasn’t a complete disaster of a showing. First period Tampa looked like the better team, of course they looked deflated after their teammate went down in that fashion.

The second muffin basically became the game winner. Multiple soft goals and you lose.

Glad we made it a game. But as an ABB truther, I admit when I saw the lines tonight I was baffled.

Whatever. Love for Serg. Hope tomorrow we can get going.

whatever long break, played fine a bit low energy. two soft ones from Vasy, it is what it is move on. Hope Sergy is fine, also count that last Kucherov goal.

Team played alright, didn’t expect much after the break. Sucks Serge is 99.9% done now until next October, but at the very least this gives us some options trade wise. I’m going insane watching us ice Sheary, ABB, and Watson while Kucherov literally drags everyone. We need a RHD and we need a good forward.

Thoughts and prayers with Sergachev tonight

  8. HannTwistzz

Count the Kucherov buzzer beater we need every point they would find a way to give it to Mackinnon

That fucking post on the powerplay…

    Such a frustrating night.

I kind of stopped caring after the Sergachev injury, but I liked our game outside of that. I think that might be the last we see of ABB, though.

  11. Three_Froggy_Problem

ABB is so useless it’s crazy. Every play just dies on his stick.

Overall it wasn’t a bad effort, but obviously the Sergachev situation is devastating.

  12. BigBuddha15

The team always struggles after breaks, especially Vasy, and that was against a great team who had a warm up game. I’m sure the Serge injury didn’t help either. We go again tomorrow, and I hope the team is there to support Serge tonight

Good first and final period, and after Sergachev’s injury you can’t blame them for being off in the second period, although the penalty killing was solid. Just have to move on from this one.

  14. MonarchChonarch

Scheduled loss imo. Anyways, Chris Tanev, YOU are a Tampa Bay Lightning

ABB just needs to go away for good. Whatever they are looking from him just isn’t there.

  16. rhodesleadnowhere

No way the rooks were the only thing holding this team together

    Incredible first period.
    Cursed second period.
    Watchable third period.

  18. InkedInspector

Of course Toronto wins tonight, boo.

  19. VanillaEars

Team had jump until Sergachev’s injury. Then they just kind of, rolled over for the rest of the 2nd period. They looked meh in the 3rd as well. Either way, hopefully they have more energy tomorrow, because tonight just felt a little off on all fronts, offence, defence, goaltending.

Stamkos had a little more jump in his rushes up ice than usual but I think that nobody really had a good game. Elephant in the room being Sergachev, I really hope he has a speedy recovery. I’d guess beginning of next season… so monkeys paw right there on wanting Lilleberg to have some more ice time.

  20. MrSCR23

Well we got a big problem if it is the worst for Serg…

  21. Basil_Normal

Winnable game but not a killer. Need two points tomorrow.

Losing Serg sucks but we’ve looked plenty fine without him and should have capable guys ready to step in. That’s a lot of cap space to play with for JBB. I’m curious to see what he can swing. May be able to take on a larger contract that other contenders can’t. Improving this teams depth could very quickly make them a contender
