I don’t think Merzlikins is new info, he was teasing interest many weeks ago concerning him.
Wouldn’t worry about that at all, he makes 0 sense. It wouldn’t even be an upgrade from VV.

Give me a solid goaltender for a 4th liner, and I’m all for it. Markstrom or Saros both fit the bill to get us to a cup in the short term.

I think he has more upside than V, but I dont think we are in the position to gamble on another goalie. We need a certified stud back there. I like Markstrome for now but his age worries me, I know the contract is short but we would have to give up a ton for an older goalie. Idk how possible it would be but if Fitzy can snag Saros that would be awesome

I know y’all are laughing right now, but Merzlikins is currently posting 1.3 GSAX on a horrific Columbus team.
I’m not saying it’s a good deal, but he’s proving capable in a bad situation.
