You’d be out of breath too if you just scarfed down a dozen hotdogs.

  2. GreyKnyght

They were like, « We got blue socks and a shell for ya, Phil, but you’re on your own for a helmet and gloves. » Then Phil was like, « Ummm… I had some blue gloves and a helmet somewhere in my garage, but I couldn’t find them. All I gots is my Yotes gloves and the non-shiny Vegas dome. That cool? »

  3. MrBrisky

I’m surprised he is still playing. Good for him but I think it’s time to go.

  4. Lol…sure, but have you seen players at training camp? How many players barf?

There is working out solo and there is practicing and playing. They aren’t the same and there is a big jump. Maybe this works, maybe it doesn’t, But don’t judge him on day one. Dude isn’t even a Canuck….Lay the fuck off until he signs a contract

  5. pickle_milf

you’d be surprised how quick your stamina can return. Give him a couple of weeks and let his cells remember what it’s like to metabolize something other than hotdog triglycerides.

  6. 10inchezsoft

As long as he doesn’t do the Olli Juolevi Zamboni Celly.

  7. Apprehensive-Tea4881

Don’t be fooled, this is poker Phil limping in.

  8. knigmich

And? That’s the point of training and practice.

  9. That’s 3-time Cup champ Kessel. Get this man a hotdog and another Cup ring!

  10. Miracl3Work3r

You doin’ alright there Hotdog Man?

  11. Miserable_Manner_980

Wait until the Sedins take him to the Grouse Grind.

  12. Full_Examination_920

Wait. Kessel is a Canuck?? Since when? Yesterday???

    Shit.

  13. beren0073

You’re doing it wrong. Where’s the hot dog guy? There’s supposed to be a hot dog guy ready to resupply him every time he comes down the ice. No wonder he’s tired.

  14. ObjectiveImmediate44

Kessel always looks grumpy and tired, but he scores nonetheless.

  15. DaeWooLan0s

When has Phil ever been in shape?

  16. londongas

Maybe it’s an old man thing. After I turned 40 I almost always have to puke after the first 5 Min then I’m good to go the rest of the way

  17. I_Enjoy_Beer

« Hey Kessel, what’s the matter?  You get axed from The Show and just start hammering slices or what?  Do you think if the Cup was a slice you’d work harder for it? »

  18. Walkinghawk22

That’s Stanley cup champion and olympian Phill mfn Kessel.

  19. Blackn35s

    How’s your breath Phil?

    Not good, eh?

  20. heythisisnew27

Off the couch, on the board.

  21. sakic1519

Dont be fooled by this. I remember him as a penguins being out of breath like this but still ripping it bar down.

  22. norielukas

Reminds me of when I got back from breaking my collarbone twice.

2 months off after first time, after 2nd time doc said 6 months.

My old soccer coach called me about 5,5 months in to recovery asking if I could jump in and play due to injuries, I did, played full 90 minutes, barely broke a sweat.

2 weeks later I did my first ice practice, I was out of breath laying on the ice behind the net 4 minutes in to the practice.

  23. BBQMosquitos

He’s not out of breath, he’s getting ready to play defense.
