Personnellement, je pense que nous devrions alors le prolonger immédiatement. Il a 28 ans. Il pourrait être notre gardien de but pendant un certain temps et Nico peut être un solide gardien numéro 2. Des pensées ?

Quite literally the only goalie I want us to trade for.
I think we should give Nico a chance to be our starter permanently
If the price is reasonable absolutely
If it involves Mercer do not pull that trigger
Provided we aren’t leveraging our future with the remaining roster, yes. Personally I wouldn’t want to move Mercer as we need those engine guys badly.
A package of 1st and 2nds, probably cost us a combo of prospects and or holtz. I could see this and next years 1st, a 2nd and Casey.
Or this years 1st, holtz and Casey.
Serious question. Who would you be willing to give up in this trade?
Elite talent
Fits our timeline
another year of cost control
Would probably wear all red gear
Only if we have assurances that he will sign an extension…….I dont want us trading for a rental. But a pairing of Saros and Daws long term would be solid
I think it would sting a lot to move roster players for him and then have to sign him to a new big deal. Bob and the panthers situation is like the ultimate cautionary tale but also supports chasing a big name goalie. The year they won the presidents trophy, Bob was losing his job to a young goalie panthers already had in their system and they might have gotten by tampa if they had an extra 10 million in the cap not being used on a back up goalie. Then they struggle for most of the year until just barley squeaking in the playoffs and Bob is a hero. So it’s a real dice throw to also have to trade an important roster player on top of that to acquire him. The ask would probably be minimum holtz,25 first and vanacek for money purposes.
Can we get a Fitz former Captain discount??
The only issue is he’s 5’11” and that may not age well. But for win now thats another thing
Saros sshmaros
I think this is only real guy available that fits the needs of the team. I know there were lots thinking Markstrom to the Devils. But, I say no. He’s been too streaky and he’s 34. Not really someone you wanna go out and pay for.
Yes of course we should. I’d take him over markstrom any day of the week
Unless its a low cost trade, I dont want it. Since Lindy finally made somewhat of a hard reset with our defensive system, the goaltending has been very good. Vteck was great in his one outting, and Daws has been excellent. I would even give Schmid a few starts provided the D system continued to hold. There is no reason to mortgage the the Devils future right now.
I’m guessing Daws would have to go the other way unless the Predators have a good goalie prospect in their system. I’m assuming it will cost a high draft pick along with a top prospect (Casey) and a roster player (Holtz). Could the price come down a bit if the deal isn’t contingent on an extension? Maybe, but would we want to risk that for a rental?
Has the goaltending let us down this season? Yes for the most part but is it all goaltending or is it our very young and inexperience Defense (as well as multiple injuries to defensemen) led to the poor goalie stats? I say yes.
If we were a goalie away from winning the cup I say go all in but I don’t think we are just a goalie away right now. I just don’t think it’s the right time to go all in. Maybe the offseason???
Saros played against us like it was a tryout.
This is a “go deep” team with a solid tandem. Go for it.
Only goalie I’d be cool parting with significant prospects for
« He may get traded or he may not. The situation may be more serious than we thought, or it may not. »
I can’t imagine a bubble team like Nashville would trade their starting goalie during the season.
For how much we’d have to give up, let some other team get fleeced.
• Will be 30 next season.
• Started playing worse when Nashville stopped playing strong defensively.
• Daws better.
