Meier’s best game of the year
Bahl should have been one of the stars. He had a fantastic game.
Timo got that dog in him. Still a really shaky performance today, lot of question marks for the next few games
If getting to talk to Erika as the 1st star of the game at home doesn’t get you fired up I don’t know what will. Hopefully Timo and the team can go on a heater, drink some gato and get the W tomorrow.
Teams not great, but season comes down to tomorrow. Win in reg, in it. Lose and it’s pretty over.
Don’t see the teams we gotta catch losing that much
Yay, we managed to scrape out a win against Montreal.
Fire Ruff now so he goes out on a win. Embarrassing to have a game that close vs the Habs. Unprepared again…. at least he put Timo in the top 6 almost 60 games into the year
Still not really comfortable with these lineups but got a win at least. If this team is serious about making the playoffs gotta win like the next 5.
We won. Thats it.
Just was reading the commentary couldn’t watch how was Jack? My buddy said he didn’t play well
Ok so a win’s a win but this was a rather disgusting game all told that further shows how badly coached this team is
Happy they won but let’s be real…that wasn’t an impressive win by any stretch. Squeaked by a bad and struggling Montreal team.
If you want to make this win mean something, then beat Tampa tomorrow, and then no excuses against ANA/SJ on the road.
They need 8 straight points and momentum. Ain’t nothing to hang your hat on today
Bahl deserved a star over toff
Happy for the points, but like you’re all saying, it’s status quo. Just utter inconsistency from players, plenty of high danger chances for MTL, and no solutions offered but the Lindy Blender. And he won’t even use that on our dismal PP1.
Against an elite team, this game’s a loss, but fortunately it wasn’t.
Love it when we win, even when it’s an ugly struggle of a win.
The process was discouraging, but we live to fight another day. And after another mixer, the top 3 lines made sense.
Kevin Bahl is playing the best hockey of his career. But Siegenthaler and Marino? Woof.
Gotta say, hischier importance can’t be understated. Lucky to have him he’s been really leading the way lately.
Man…ain’t Kenny sharing a literal spiked heart rate with the entire devils fan base after this one. Holy shit don’t know where to start but basically onto tomorrow at this point.
Hope Daws looks even better tomorrow.
« Thank god now burn the tapes » -after every single win this year lol. Lets enjoy it for 24 hours

🤣🤣🤣😭😭
Wasn’t the prettiest game but it was nice to get a win in person after being at the gong show vs the rags on Thursday. Will be there tomorrow too. If they pick up another 2 then we won’t be in too awful of a spot. Just want meaningful games to take my gf to at this point.
Ruff gonna throw Daws in tomorrow again isn’t he…. lol
Jack was kinda ass but guessing he’s saving up for Vasy tomorrow.
A WIN! TWO POINTS!
* Nico Hischier is so important. Broke our PP drought.
* Jesper Bratt is a mad man.
* Keep Timo with Bratter and Nico please.
* really good Timo game!
* thank fuck we won.
* HOPE IS STILL ALIVE
* and we’re back at it tomorrow
* can’t play like this against Tampa tho that’s for sure
* also Lindy is gonna put Dawsy in against Tampa isn’t he that fucking bastard.
* The New Jersey Devils are now 7-5-0 when I go to a game this season
* keeping pace in the WC race
* I dunno man I’m just happy they won I know it wasn’t the best game and it was actually pretty ugly at points but we did the damn thing
* and I’ll take it!
* I’ve acquired a FIRE LINDY bracelet for my collection
* I was curious about the D pairs what do we think about Siegs and Johnny together?
* keeping an eye on Jack. Was hoping that goal at the end of the Rags game would jump start him and he seemed to have some good looks but still fairly concerned about our dear boy
* hot take – Id try giving Holtzy top six minutes before Merce seriously
* saw a lot of sloppy play and bad giveaways and turnovers and the last three mins of the game were a nightmare
* somehow we got out of it truly by the skin of our teeth
And it’s daylight outside! What a concept!
A wins a win, but yeah still not pretty
Dano “get me outta here” as soon as it ended lmao
I shouldn’t feel this bad after a much needed win but I do.
Grats boys good win tonight. Timo looked good nicos both looking solid.
It’s really crazy and I’m sure people jumped on Luke for the Anderson breakaway, but the second habs goal Marino did the same thing. Besides not knowing how to set the lineup, Ruff’s system constantly puts players in bad spots
Timo is extremely important to this team. It’s like we forgot how nasty this dude was in San Jose. Put him on the first power play on the right side, play him with top players, he will produce. Watch his nasty 5 goal game too: [https://youtu.be/Zf4P9kdCZRA?si=PJK4X6k6VG7ptJkd](https://youtu.be/Zf4P9kdCZRA?si=PJK4X6k6VG7ptJkd)
On at least two occasions, Jack stood on the boards out by the blue line and waited for a hard-around from the D to break out. On both occasions, the Habs cut off the pass resulting in a turnover. That shit is unacceptable in beer league, let alone the NHL. If you’re not moving to the puck, someone is going to beat you to it. Jack’s flat out gotta be better.
Bottom line for tomorrow….no back to back excuses. Tampa is playing the Islanders today and on the road. Tampa should be even more worn out. Our boys get their own beds tonight.
Fucking hate the Rangers, but we need them to win. Philly isn’t too far ahead (5 points I believe). If there was ever a time for the Devils to pull their big boy pants up and heat up, it’s now.
Score a powerplay goal and we win by 1. How about that
