This is all on Fitzgerald. Did not address goaltending in the off-season and did not address coaching by Christmas.
What an embarassment all around.
I’m not usually team tank, but we should probably try to sell some pieces and start a new coach search. This team looks apathetic every game.
I think this is the game where Fitz really does have to consider firing Ruff.
It’s not even painful at this point, just disappointing. The lack of care by the players and coaching/front office has rubbed off on me
I feel like a chump for calling Boudreau, Gallant, Torts, and other guys “one season coaches” who then lose the room.
Ruff is a one year coach who needs two years of prep.
Guys… I’m starting to think we aren’t gonna make the playoffs…
I need to take a break from this team. My mental health can’t take it.
At this point I’m more worried about the long term impact of the vibes and chemistry of this team than making the playoffs. Last year it seemed like a bunch of best friends playing together. This is like everyone trying to do their own thing and watch out for themselves

Ya know, I hold a lot of pride for being a Devs fan. I have a stadium series sweater, I have a “Raise Hell” baseball cover. I watch almost every game unless something crazy is going on.
These fucking guys are an embarrassment. They played uninspired and unmotivated hockey. They’re gliding to the end with few exceptions. The only ones who seem to want to fucking with are Bratt, Lazar and the Nicos. The rest of them act like they can’t be bothered.
I’ll still cheer for them. But holy fuck am I embarrassed.
Seasons done. Don’t care if we aren’t mathematically out yet. Team has absolutely no discipline on defense, horrible on the PP, and can’t even bury shots anymore consistently. Every time there’s a big game on the line this team folds by the end. Absolutely embarrassing. Silver lining is maybe this is what the team needs in the long run. But what a gut punch this season turned out to be.
As for Ruff, he needs to be fired. I’m not expecting during the season, it’s already been chaotic enough and I’m sure a coaching change would only add to everyone’s bad mental state right now, plus there’s likely be more options in the offseason. But it’s clear he can’t get this team prepared or make proper adjustments. Get a goalie, get a coach, and get a bottom six center this offseason. Just win the rest of the division games left this season. I’m practically on to the Yankees now.

Sure they get goalied and sure they let two D go and sure Hamilton is hurt, but there’s no energy, no intensity, and no preparation. That’s on coaching. You don’t get scored on first that often if you’re ready to play.
There’s no reason to even dig into things anymore. We all know the problems at this point. Coaching sucks, team is soft and doesn’t care, and they just plain suck. See you all next year
So Luke has looked pretty bad for weeks, but Jack hasn’t looked much better. Jack is much more concerning. I honestly hope he’s playing injured

I like Toffoli, but he would instantly be the most valuable player on the trading block. If they can’t or won’t resign him, then you have to trade him. This team has done nothing to justify giving up assets for a goalie or holding on to valuable UFAs you don’t know you can keep.
Lindy takes full responsibility for the season. Yeah, he knows he’s done.
Lindy has had a nice career, but he needs to go tonight. This team has no juice when play a half decent team
This team is becoming pretty unlikeable attitude and moxie-wise and I can’t even imagine how Ken Daneyko really feels about them. Smashing sticks, stopping mid play to complain, an accused rapist, a coach blaming the media, no one standing up for teammates, not finishing checks.
