Kypreos is reporting Hanifin may sign at 7.5M x 8 in Calgary and then be traded to Bruins.
I don't understand why you can't understand that the League is capped out. Why did the Tanev deal require a 3rd team? Because Dallas has no cap space. Hanafin will require more cap space and more money and term than Tanev. It s a harder deal.

It’s likely going to be Hanifin for DeBrusk, Forbort (Or Grzelcyk if Forbort uses his M-NTC to block the trade), a 1st (2025) and Fabian Lysell. Maybe Boston tosses in a 2024 4th or a 2025 3rd as well. There’s a slight possibility that a goalie goes back the other way if Calgary plans on trading Markstrom somewhere else as well.

Hanifin will be the fifth roster player traded this year. I have 4 questions for the panel. 1, Who's next? 2, Anybody else ask to be traded yet? 3, how long will the rebuild take, 5, 10 or 15 years? 4, will anyone want to sign with or be traded to Calgary after what has gone down?

I am a flames fan and at this point i dont expect more then a future 1st and a high end prospect. Some fans think we will get multiple picks and multiple prospects but i dont see it for a rental.
As a Tampa fan I’d rather get Durzi or Provorov ….
BOS doesn't have a draft pick until the 4th round. TB doesn't draft until the 3rd. Surely Conroy is not this foolish. Also both of these teams are notoriously known for NOT trading their top prospects, they pawn off their duds to GMs like Conroy
