@Devils du New Jersey

    Ruff defenders will blame Jack

  2. Ever_Raiden

Surprised dumbfuck Redditors haven’t taken this and turned it into Jack having a bad attitude and being mean to his teammates like everything else he’s done this season

Seeing that live was pretty funny. What was weird though, I was surrounded by Devils fans at the game, and win they scored that quick, they just sat there. There wasn’t any cheering from them.

Jesus, I missed the game last night but that’s embarrassing.

  5. Lol, holy moly. I remember seeing this and thinking, « why does Jack want off the ice? » Nice one, Ruff.

Eeeek. That’s…. Not a good look.

I’m watching the game in my living room, alone, leaning forward on the couch and pointing at the television screen trying to count (out loud) the number of Devils skaters. “Am I dumb? Have I forgotten how to count? What the fuck is going on here?”

I’ve been trying not to pile on with all of the recent negativity, but WOOF. This is a damning indictment of our coaching staff. No organization, urgency, or attention to detail

How bad? The most bad. At this point in this season it’s so far beyond the limit for acceptable coaching negligence that it defies comprehension. It’s so bad that it should result in an almost immediate dismissal of this coaching staff. It should have been the first question asked in the post game presser: how on earth do you mess up something so basic?

I’m sure it won’t push this GM to make a move. Season flatlined when Hughes flubbed that penalty shot. This error just proves the coaches are mentally checked out

So bad Lindy shouldn’t have been allowed on the plane home.

This happened last week too when we had a guy come out of the penalty box he went to the bench and no one came off and we were still playing 5 on 4. Embarrassing.

Incompetent coaching staff. Completely checked out players(on the bench) who didn’t notice.

This shit right here is stuff you see from poorly run franchises. This shit right here is what(in part) makes home grown superstars want to get out.

Jack is having a decent year despite injuries and recent struggles but if you don’t think this Incompetent shit gets under his skin, you’re sadly mistaken. Players who are elite have a certain expectation for those around them

you can no longer call yourself a Devils fan while defending Lindy Ruff

  14. FloppyCanFly

I mean to be fair.. we basically play with an empty net anyway

  15. Grimmer026

This team had great chemistry last year, now no one looks like they want to play.

As it’s not that fun watching these days I thought I’d try my hands at a little conspiracy theory.

So remember when Lindy got hit in the head with the puck on the bench. Well old people recover extremely slow from head injuries (found this out when a family member fell). So he’s out there now on the bench with a few screws loose and the rest of the coaching staff knows it. The same game Lindy went out Green took over and the Devils looked much better.

So here’s my theory – Green got his shot, looked good, knows Lindys not all there and is completely sitting on his hands and letting CTE Ruff run a muck. This also gives Green the best chance to win in the future. Not having Fitz in a position to buy high on a goalie and lose assets, not to mention keeping our first pick and have it increase in value at every loss.

TLDR Travis Green is a mastermind that will win cups in NJ.

Back to reality, I went back to that game vs Carolina and watched Green in the post game presser. I liked the interview, seemed to articulate well.

Tank this shit and lets go again next year with a coach that isn’t suffering from dementia.

This team could be fixed overnight. Put in a defense first system that makes the players take care of the defensive zone first before running on offense. Stop allowing the defense to make careless pinches and getting caught on odd man rushes. Make all 5 accountable in the defensive zone. These little things would clean up 95% of our « bad » goals and give our goalies a fighting chance when they do make mistakes. We had a 5 game stretch starting with Vteck in Carolina (almost a shutout) then the next 4 with Daws playing very solid, where the team supposedly tweeked the defense and were playing much better (we didnt see any alleged shit goals). Dont know what Lindy changed after those games but the bottom fell out of the defensive play again. This is not a tough fix. Defense wins championships…not run and gun.

Fucking embarrassing. How does the coach not notice you didn’t ice enough guys?
