I'd like to see Calgary finish up their last piece of business with a hockey trade for Hanifin. They really really need a top center and I think a player like Hanifin can get them one. They also have 9 picks in this year's draft, 6 of which are in the first 3 rounds, so they could potentially use one of those to sweeten the pot if need be.

Those who are calling for the Hurricanes to grab a goalie=wrong. Anderson is really close, Kochetkov has played very well of late, Spencer Martin has been solid as well….Raanta into this mix and they need a goalie??? C’mon people get real.
Canes need a Left-handed goal scorer!! In typical fashion, I expect Waddell will do something meh at best. After the deadline he’ll say we looked at a lot of options but the asking price was way too costly.

If you are new and hear the Hockey Guy saying LTIR all the time: it means Long Term Injured Reserve(Big ouch). When someone is on LTIR then I believe their contract doesn't count against the team's salary cap. The salary cap is an amount of money that the team has to spend on their player contracts.
"My" Ducks haven't used LTIR this season (or last), because then they'd drop below the cap floor – so I really hope they use their cap space this deadline and take on an expiring contract or two to get some future assets or picks

the future was bright at the start of the Western Canadian roadtrip with a great win against one of the best teams in the league – Vancouver … then they played great against Seattle but just couldn’t get the puck in … then Calgary (even more heart wrenching than the next day’s Edmonton 6-1 loss) they dominated the Flames all game long … then in Pittsburgh fashion way late in the game – idk what the hell happened … it was soul-sucking …

Calgary, Pittsburgh and Washington need to tear it down and scatter it, I don't know if they will. As for buyers, they selling price has been steep. The future could be impacted with a big trade. As a Jets fan, it would mean a roster waiver wire move. I don't care to lose any of the players on the roster.
