    I normally stay up for the late games but this trip is all scheduled losses. 0 wins west of their time zone and the California trip always seems to be the worst road trip of the season. Also the guys are already checked out, they'd rather be golfing and having a good time than win hockey games and I am fully on board with that. Tankathon is officially official.

    Sorry guys, Its all my fault. As a Montreal Expos fan I was destined to back an NHL team that is now The Expos of the NHL, and to re-live the Heartbreak of another Franchise Failure.
    For the Expos were also known as the "Farm Team" for other MLB teams. Examples include: Dawson to the Cubs. Larry Walker to Colorado, Marquis Grissom to ATL, Moises Alou to FLA, and the worst of all….Pedro Martinez to Boston!

    Could they package what they got for Walker with other assets to acquire Chychrun? Retain another 50% on Johansen to drop his cap hit to $2M next year and the Senators have a well priced veteran 3rd line center that they have been after all year. I personally don't like it but I am expecting that type of swing from Briere.

    Project a late first and 22 year old plus AHL prospect. Senators management hopefully understands why handcuffing yourself never works in trades. They're getting a first hand view thanks to Dorion

    The outrage is ridiculous. Vlad is a 3rd line winger who can score. He's meh at D and costs way too much for what he is now. How many third liners are giving you more than 3rd? I would argue the condition should have been a 2nd rounder if the Panthers win the cup.

    Hard to see such a poor return for Tarasenko. I get that Florida has all the leverage but not even a second? With 50% cap retention? Can't imagine a worse deal than a 3rd and a 4th. I guess at the end of the day we got Vlad for free so it could be worse

    So, knowing you can't use a calculator, and that Staios just saved the Sens over $975K to put towards another's contract, collecting 2 draft picks in return; Comparing Tarasenko's trade with Mantha, not realizing that Washington gave up essentially Dickinson to Dallas, in order to get Mantha, and Washington only gets a second round pick in return plus a 4th round pick in '26. Your show, you did your research, and you're BLASTING Staios for saving monies for the Sens? Do your research. lol

    Its too bad…the Ducks are doing a better job of tanking than we are. At this point I hope the AHL team the Ducks are going to ice will STILL end up beating the Sens tonight.

    That no trade contract is always a killer. The fact is that was the best deal he got because either no other team offered more or Tarensenko said no o a better trade. I was hoping for a second or a prospect. the 50% salary retained bothers me .

    I would keep Chychrun and resign him. He's playing up to his contract. Why get a player , pay dearly then lose him an get less value ? Resign him now.

    I feel for you guys.I had high hopes as well.Does Chychrun have to go to a contender,or could you make a multi player deal with a team that probably won't be in the playoffs but is on the rise?This is an example trade not exact.Chychrun,Kastellic and Lassi Thomson for Gustav Lindstrom a young right shot d man and Isac Lundestrom an up and coming Center that has speed,plus a first.An example where you could trade to a team that would sign him long term for young players back.
    Kubalik and Brannstrom to Calgary for a prospect.Norris to Chicago for Jason Dickinson.

    Sorry to see Brandon so down; don't forget the internal turmoil of the SENS with the sale of the club finally, the problem with Pinto, the firing of Dorion, then DJ and a new//old coach, this all affects players like it or not. I say our year was jinxed from the start. And the NHL was not very nice to us with the Pinto punishment either. That said, we made a horrible move hiring Korpisalo for so many years. I don't believe in tanking and hate to hear you talking unsportmanlike. Let's look at what is coming from Belleville and finish the year ahead of Montreal. Alittle team pride please !!!

    After thinking about this, this has to do more with Dorion being at fault for this by putting the NMC on Tarasenko to completely handcuff Staios, the same way it went with Debrincat. Florida was the only team Tarasenko would waive to, and Florida could have waited till July 1, so to get what they got, it's something, and lets not forget, we got Senko in free agency, so I look at this like they got 1 pick back from getting Debrincat, but soo much damage has been done by Dorion, Staios has to get anything really out of the UFA's. He was completely handcuffed by Dorion. Pillzy nailed it big time

    What we got back for Tarasenko wasn’t worth it and to top it off we retaining half his salary. Florida are laughing at us right now. Huge lost for us and huge win for them. And a rival team also. I’m not looking forward to other trades we do when this one was so bad.
