r/hockey is melting down like never before.
At some point, you’d think hockey fans would direct their ire at their own GMs for getting played by McCrimmon/Vegas rather than throw a tantrum with baseless accusations towards us. Oh well.
This is an incredible pick up. Even in the depths of our rivalry I thought hertl and couture were two sharks I’d take in a heart beat. He’ll fit right in. He’s played so well against us. Getting him with a team with our compete is huge.
We have no draft next year. Really hope we can go back to back with Sir Stanley.

I was sure they were going to do something else, but Hertl was NOT on my radar AT ALL.
Darren Dreger clarified that the the 3rd rounders are ours, not San Jose’s.
So we got Hertl and two 3rd rounders for Edstrom and a 1st rounder. This is insane.
I actually feel kind of (but not really) bad for SJ, mostly just their fans because imagine watching their currently dogshit team night after night and then losing your best player to one of your biggest rivals for basically peanuts. That has to sting pretty fuckin bad.

This genuinely might be our craziest trade deadline to date and so far I like at a minimum 2/3rds of the trades but think I’ll come around on Mantha if he shoots more than others will
