I think the prospect of retooling this summer with one or more trades for young impact players hinges massively on the Karlsson first-rounder. If we wind up with a top-10 pick in 2024, we should be able to retool pretty aggressively. If we don’t have a 2024 first-rounder at all, it’s hard to imagine being huge buyers in the summer trade market even with the new prospects.

(Your mileage may vary on whether you think dealing picks and prospects to retool this summer is a wise path, of course.)

  2. We got mid assets to get more players like Ryan Graves and Michael Bunting.

It makes sense. We had nothing for trade chips. Now we have prospect depth and prospects to sweeten trade offers.

Will miss Jake but this sounds like Dubas is captaining this ship in the right direction to make us competitive again.

    Season is officially f’d.

Sign Kessel, and get him his 8 points to get to 1,000. Give the fans something to root for.
