I've always thought the way that Smith spoke about the game that he has a future as a coach, and now after hearing these guys talk about him I feel it even more. We need more veteran presence for these young guys.
The Barkov accidental injury game last year where nearly every Panther took runs at and doled out cheap shots on "Our Captain" Nico without any fight back from Nico and his teammates was the first overt indication that this team lacked grit, fortitude and testicularity to be a serious contender for the Cup.
