    If you contextualize his stats fully this season he’s having the best scoring year a red wing has posted maybe since… goodness… a long time

    Sprong is at 2.2 primary points per 60 playing mostly with 4th liners

    Datsyuk even in his 97 point years was at 2.6

    Very likely Fedorov in 95-96 when league scoring had dropped a bit hit 3 PrPts/60 so definitely that

    Nyquist 13-14 was up there too given relatively low TOI and terrific production

    But gus was on a sh% bender that year naturally and Sprong isn’t

    Less than 2 minutes of PP a game this season as well

    Anyhow

    He’s much much closer to being the greatest red wing ever than the opposite, is a vague way for me to wrap this up
