For the money they're making – especially Nylander and Matthews – one would expect more emotional involvement and accountability. Nylander seems blase about it and not concerned at all. You don't win a Stanley Cup with an emotional investment like that. They were all standing around watching Philly in the 1st period like spectators and not challenging the man with the puck enough – which would force mistakes. You have to put your heart and soul into it or you shouldn't be playing. Boston isn't like that which is why they win. 2nd best isn't good enough unless you're just doing a job for money.
Once again the Leafs didn't start on time. "Oh but they care" well clearly Philly cared "more" when they score quick and fast and the Leafs look like deer caught in headlights.
And then we get the same excuses postgame.
