The most overrated player left on the roster. Another horrible resigning by Brad Treliving. Mangiapane is just taking up space on the cap and providing extremely little value. His hockey IQ is non existent. At $5.8 million there will be no takers. Time for the waiver wire.
Mangiapane is the flames version of former oilers Yamamoto, underachieving and you just expected a whole lot more. Except Yamamoto was not paid 4.5 million like the Mangiapane
Andrew was great when he was on a stacked team. Apart from Backlund and Andersson (and Kylington, although he took a couple years off) (and Dube, but he’s away dealing with that court case) he’s the only guy left from the 2018-2019 monster season that we had.
Originally surrounded by good players like Johnny, Chuck, Monny, Lindy, and Gio, he started to get pretty decent
• 8 G and 5 A for 13 PTS in 44 GP in 2018-2019 • 17 G and 15 A for 32 PTS in 68 GP in 2019-2020 • 18 G and 14 A for 32 PTS in 56 GP in 2020-2021 • 35 G and 20 A for 55 PTS in 82 GP in 2021-2022 • 17 G and 26 A for 43 PTS in 82 GP in 2022-2023
This year, he’s played 68 games so far and he’s currently at
13 G and 25 A for 38 PTS
So far it looks like he’s peaked and is only getting slightly worse from here on out, but you have to take into consideration the fact that our team has been absolutely gutted of all its core talent that it used to have. The Hubes, Weegs, Naz bandaid on the open heart surgery we had, did not stop the bleeding. It slowed near the end of last season, and we’ve had moments this season where it’s looked like it might have finally scabbed over, but then the blood starts leaking out all over again.
Andrew’s and our best option is to trade him to a better team that is looking for someone who’s not the best, but solid when surrounded by confident, hungry talent. If we can get a couple picks and a piece or two in return, that would be great, and would help the team go forward with the new, up and coming young talent that is the future of this organization.

Is he injured? He is far less effective.
Just needs to be surrounded by some better guys and he’s solid

He never wins puck battles and if the puck is bouncing even a little, he loses the puck. He misses the net a ton as well. He's hard to watch
Who cares
