Guys, great Channel and amazing episode as always. As you were singing the praises of Bobby McMann with his 14th goal, I couldn't help but think about how unfair you both have been to Nick Robertson, who has 10 goals this season, despite relatively limited ice time.
The two players have both played the same number of games, and Nick Robertson has 2 more assists and only four penalty minutes, as opposed to McCann 's 40 penalty minutes.
Robertson also has a game-winning goal, which McMann does not.
Bobby is a plus 10, but Robertson is still a plus three, so I don't think we should eschew Robertson so quickly.
He has been given a bad rap his whole career, and it's probably only because he's small.
Don't get me wrong, I love Bobby McMann and I am glad to see him surge, but Nick Robertson has been quietly, and without a lot of complaining, doing a great job for the Leafs…
Just my two cents…keep up the great work, guys.
I also liked how much the leafs ( Tavares as an example but many others) controlled the puck then cleared it out of the zone under controlled pressure instead of the too often desperate then unsuccessful attempts to clear…. this makes for way less degeneration of deliberate planned defensive zone play… I thought that was a big difference….
