We have never been more back.
Outside of conceding a career game to Reaves, that game was everything you could hope for. Built a lead and held it through the third. And it wasn’t a hold on for dear life type of game, we legitimately controlled that third and gave them nothing. Vasy was also excellent. Hopefully a big psychological boost for him to put up that kind of effort against the Leafs. Cautiously starting to really believe in this team. They just have a special feel about them of late.
Didn’t blow a 2+ goal lead to Toronto. Nature is healing
So as long as we don’t force them to change goalies, we’re good!
Near flawless game. Leafs had a ton of dangerous chances and we were playing 7on5 the whole game and they still had nothing for us apart from the scheduled cheeseball through traffic. The only negative tonight was Jeannot taking the L against Reaves in what was essentially garbage time. The last thing we need is Jeannot concussed so close to the playoffs and She*ry frauding his way back into the lineup.
Nothing better than kicking the shit out of the leafs despite some sketchy reffing. Vasy was amazing and saved our ass a few times

Compared to last year where Tampa was playing their worst hockey down the stretch and we had to convince ourselves that the Bolts were gonna turn it on when the playoffs started, the boys are back to looking strong heading into the important part

Far and away the best period of shut down hockey we’ve played this season. Who would’ve guessed that actually trying to get o-zone pressure instead of turtling will work better.
My expectations are high, and I am ready to be hurt again. Meaningful hockey is nearly here and we look *good*

I don’t care who we get in the playoffs I’ll take the bolts any day of the week. Absolutely fantastic play from everybody tonight. Also kept the leafs out of the playoffs for yet another day. Rip to hagel and jeannot though
Really love the way we played. Huge win. Very solid. Vasy was unreal. We were buttoned up defensively, made the smart plays to clear the zone when needed. The young D men played great. Lilleberg, Raddysh, Fleury, all took care of the puck, played smart, kept the game to the outside away from Vas. Good neutral zone play. Finished our chances. Bolts dictated play and took over the game.
This just in, Paul’s goal gave Kuch his 130th point
Some Leafs fans were getting saaaaalty in the GDT but there are still some chill ones. Happy we got this one!!

Jeanott didnt look right after that last hit he took. just cant stay healthy. Did better this time but that last one stung him even if it was through the visor helmet. Other than that the D seems more stable??? Vasi is looking more like the normal Vasi. PP and PK looking good still despite the 1st to early ones. getting looks and scoring in 3 iines solid. Strange to actuallysee improvemnt and re -learing how to grind games again leading into the PO’s instead of coasting the last month.
Extremely underrated games from Chaffee, Lilleberg and Dumba. Each line handled their matchups well I thought. Absolutely impressive game from Paul. Using his size and hands in the best way. And props to that guy in net.
If my math is right (which it probably isn’t), we could possibly clinch with a win on Saturday afternoon, assuming we win tomorrow
