  1. I want Marchessault to stay so much. He’s the face of this team honestly. I would be upset if they didn’t resign him. But I would love Hanifin to stay and continue to be paired with Hague tbh. I just don’t see how we can keep both. Also means Stephenson’s is probably leaving.

  2. Marchessault, Stephenson, Martinez, and Carrier out. Mantha probably just a rental, but fits the mold if the price is right. Amadio and Dorofeyev stay and get raises. Dorofeyev will be Eichel’s new finisher. Top priority for McCrimmon is Hanifin.

  3. Great video THG.. I was hoping you would do this one. I think they have a great shot at repeating… they are playing much better and Thompson has confidence. My biggest concern is the oilers … if they can somehow avoid or get past them like last year they have a great shot at a back to back … I feel the west is much more talented so whoever comes out of west I think wins the cup

  4. I still randomly think of the bull in China shop mythbusters episode. Glad to see I’m not alone.

  5. I’ll just be happy to be in the playoffs with this injured riddled season. Can’t pick and choose who you wanna face in the playoffs, just gotta get there and gotta get by the good teams to win the cup. Shout out to Marchessault on his first 40 goal season. GKG

  6. dont think they can keep stephenson. extremely underrated player that is worth more than they can afford unfortunately, between raises for marchessault, dorofeyev and (hopefully, as a vegas fan) hanifin. martinez gone too if he doesnt retire

  7. They said they are looking at sloting Hertl into the wing to start. Doubt they break up Barbashev-Eichel-Marchessault or Mantha-Karlsson-Dorofeyev so I'd have to imagine Hertl-Stephenson-Amadio. Which also means, if Stone does return in the playoffs, it'll be Hertl-Stephenson-Stone.

  8. The cheating idea is not that Stone isn't actually injured. The potentially cheating comes in when he's ready to return. There's a chance he's actually healthy to play in game 82, but Vegas keeps him on LTIR in order to stay cap compliant. That would be the cheating. It's a "loophole" to pretend someone is injured when they're actually healthy – that's just outright cheating. If Stone comes back in game 1 of the playoffs, it won't be proof that they cheated, but it would certainly look very suspicious.

  9. As a Vegas native I'd say that they're EXTREMELY dangerous in the playoffs this year, but aren't really a true contender. If a team in Rd 1 can shutdown their offensive counterattack? Not a huge deal.

  10. I didnt think theyd miss the playoffs. Everyone was so concerned and i knew theyd charge eventually

  11. I find it fascinating that other NHL teams are not trying to copy VGK methods.

The NFL is known as a copycat league. If something works, everyone else tries it.

In contrast, the NHL has been afraid of change and basically stuck in same old same old, recycling GMs, HCs, etc. Slow to change, slow to evolve.

The NFL is the gold standard as far as making money.

The NHL/Gary B boasts about increased revenues but it's really about improvements on a minor scale compared to NFL, NBA and MLB.

Perhaps the NHL should learn from the NFL?

    And the VGK?

Nah. NVM. I've been watching NHL since 1968 and it was, is and always will be, same old same old.

One day those rich NFL owners will start their own damn professional hockey league and do it right.

    One day…
    🤷

  12. If the VGN win another cup this year, it will be the NHL jumping the shark. The Entertainment Guy will explain.
