Ce fut une année difficile pour Joonas Korpisalo et les Sénateurs d’Ottawa dans leur ensemble. Ils avaient accordé un but sur le premier ou le 2e tir du match 20 fois cette saison et l’avaient fait lors de leurs 3 derniers matchs consécutifs et après une défaite 4-3 contre le New Jersey samedi, ils ont été officiellement éliminés des séries éliminatoires à venir. dans le match d’hier soir contre les Capitals de Washington. Alors qu’ils ont PRESQUE cédé un but sur le premier tir encore une fois, Chychrun a réussi à bloquer un filet ouvert pour l’éviter. Cependant, même s’ils n’ont pas marqué dès le premier tir, ils l’ont encore une fois marqué avec le deuxième tir des Capitals. Mais comme un signe des dieux du hockey, pendant le jeu, le soleil a aveuglé Korpisalo ! Ceci, lors d’un match de hockey en salle. C’est quelque chose que je n’ai jamais vu personnellement dans un match de la LNH et les chances que cela se produise la veille d’une éclipse solaire sont plutôt insensées. Quant au match, il a été bon et a vu les Sénateurs revenir pour pousser la prolongation en prolongation. Not a Caps fan, but I want them to make the playoffs. However, the way they play is like they don't want to. They can't even keep the lead what so ever.
I remember a game from Buffalo in April or May way back, maybe 30 years ago, where there was extensive fog in the arena. They had to stop the game and get all the players on the ice skating around to stir up the air and clear the fog.

It reminds me of a couple of places in Peru where the Incas carved things in the mountains. On one day of the year, the sun would shine through a hole and illuminate another carving several miles away. I believe this was due to their lack of ice hockey.

In all the years that I watched Hockey Night in Canada, I've never seen a game halted because of interference from the sun coming through a window and blinding a goal-tender. I guess the positive from this is that it will feature on many a high-"light" video!

I remember this happening few times here in Finland, at the old arena in Tampere, of the top league teams of Ilves and Tappara. It was in the 90's and the goalie waving to the officials was young Vesa Toskala in one game.

This isn't the first time this happened. My boyfriend and I have been going to Caps games for years. Roughly ten years ago, before an afternoon game against the Rangers, the game was delayed for a few minutes because the sun was in Henrik Lundqvist's face. I think they had to close the curtains in the club seating to fix the issue.
Feel bad for the architect, dude calculated this event and made cool spectacle with a damn perfect calculations but every one is just angry.
