Sid is one of the greatest all time. Geno, Letang, Karlsson up there too. Patrick Kane is a Penguins killer and has a few cups just like some of ours.

J1Q – The goals to shots ratio about finishing is intriguing. Is it possible that another factor is not the power play but – and this sounds weird even to me – the force or power of the shot? Can that even be measured? It seems to my eyes watching that alot of the shots coming in are very weak and coming from too far with no obstruction to the site range of the goalie. True, Sid does deserve all the kudos for his play and behavior…except for the glaring absence of being a strong, forceful, vocal leader, something this team REALLY needs. I know that is not his personality, but as the clear leader on this team he needs to be able to pull underperforming players aside and get in their grill to straighten them out. All the very best teams, in every team sport, has that individual who can address performance issues forcefully as they come up. The losing teams generally don’t. Great player, sure… but the best for this team, maybe not.
I would say Kane is like Sid in that he's made for Game 7 type of moments. Nobody talks about him, almost like he's washed up. He's younger than Sid.
Also, Sid didn't lose to Detroit in a Game 7. It was Game 6 😢
Scoring margin is the number one predictor of success so it's absolutely crazy that the penguins are behind these teams with negative 40 margins. No way to ignore this. It's weird.
Technically, Patrick Kane plays for the Wings, and he's had a LOT of NHL success, but he's really the only one on their squad who brings championship-caliber do-or-die experience.
