Morellos son out of a job

  2. theguyishere16

Interestingly, they also changed their Twitter bio. It used to be « Hockey belongs in the desert » and now it says « hockey belongs in Arizona ». I guess with SLC also being a desert they had to get more specific.

Alex Jr. tired of taking heat in the comments

  4. Excellent-Medicine29

The owners son has access to the account but they did have a regular social media admin that posted all the regular game day stuff. Allegedly that person only took over from a different person just a few months ago and moved halfway across the country just to take this job and now they might’ve already been let go.

Would not stun me if Bettman had Meruelo Jr preemptively shut out of the account before he could say something stupid

  6. bwoah07_gp2

Wow. I would’ve thought they’d continue the social media presence up to the end.

  7. iggyfenton

The layoffs started early. Why pay them an extra 3 days?

  8. doihavetowearabra

This is all just so sad. Sad for the players, for the fans, for the employees that found out through the media that they will no longer have jobs.

  9. InsectTop618

literally so fucked that they didnt keep their social team for the last 2 games

  10. Putts1990

Yotes social media team was sandbagging the franchise long before they stopped doing it

  11. Abandon_All-Hope

Prolly all had accrued some PTO they needed to take before they got laid off.

    I’m sad.

  12. Balance47x

Their last score update comes off as if they lost too. They beat Edmonton 3-2 and the caption’s just “Final.”

  13. Stinky_Toes12

Coyotes used to be my favourite team when i was younger (i liked the logo idk) sad to see them go

  14. sillysquidtv

Given that only hockey ops is moving to SLC, the social media person probably booed out ahead of time.

  15. madax-gambar

they won’t even write a goodbye message for the fans? gutless ownership

  16. justinlaz

‚And just as mysteriously as they came, they were gone’

  17. NeutralInvestor

    > writes and signs professional-looking document with caps lock on…

Maybe this is all for the best.

  18. Steaknkidney45

Does any prospective SLC team keep the Yotes name and color scheme?

  19. InevitableAvalanche

Why should they comment on the scores of the Salt Lake City missionaries?

  20. MassiveTelevision387

why are they moving the team? I don’t follow hockey these days, i’m assuming low ticket sales?

  21. HermanBonJovi

    RIP coyotes. Sorry coyotes fans,

  22. Wolverina412

I would be happy about this move if it was legit anywhere than the mormon sex cult state.

  23. Nekarios

Nothing on Twitter too, no info about Ingram too, sad end for Coyotes

  24. Eazy7440

good riddance, it was winnipeg’s team to begin with anyways

    karmas a bitch

  25. daystrom_prodigy

I really hate how the owner is making a profit from this while the employees get screwed over.

  26. MorePower7

Glad to see the end of this failed Bettman experiment. Should have pulled the Coyotes from here atleast a decade ago.

  27. ianisms10

Stop calling it X. It’s Twitter.

  28. _Salsa_Shark

On the bright side Randy Hahn may never say desert dogs 683 times a game again
