Hi Patrick and all Oilers fans. I fought with myself to look my team again after the last games, but enthusiasm wins and I stand up at 3:30am! Really absurd time to look a sports match, but I am a fan. It was a real funny match because the sharks are looking for the first pick after their season. They play basketball style and so all Oilers are having much fun to play with them! I think it was a good chance to play the frustration out of their bodies and kill mine too. 9 goals, new line line up which makes me interesting in showing it more often, good combinations and Conners 100th!!!
It was a pleasure to see it live in Germany. Now it's breakfast here on a cold and rainy day. Cheers from Germany and "play la Bamba, baby!"…

Most impressed with the 3rd line; Perry-Holloway-McCloud; Perry is a pest in front of the net and Holloway-McCloud; 2 big-young Rockets create havoc for defenders! Henrique (a very versatile smart-experienced-skilled player along with Hyman & McDavid will complimented his game. Liked all 4 lines, liked the fact that the Oilers were in total control; played the game as a potential opportunity to possibly win the division title with a little help from Calgary in Vancouver Tuesday night in Vancouver. Some luck, however unlikely, that Vancouver will lose. Calgary playing with pride and a few lucky bounces beat Vancouver, because Vancouver will most likely lose to the 6 game winning streak(Jets) in Winnipeg! Excited to see Broberg, didn’t like Vincent Deharnais game (Broberg replacing Desharnais) would add to the Oilers chances of winning. Don’t think Lavoie is ready! I think it would be too much pressure for him to handle at his stage. It’s not affected Broberg, he’s played in big games before!
The most impressive part of McDavid’s 100 assists season (Season is not over, expect a few more if he’s playing!) is that these Oilers are only averaging 3.64 goals per game!! Gretzky was scoring (100-160 assists) in the mid 80’s on an offensive minded Oilers team averaging 5+ points per game. Goals and points are much harder to produce in today’s era, with the game getting stingier defensively, better equipment and technological advances ie; video replay which calls back offsides, goalie interference, highsticking, etc… goals! This is important to consider while we marvel at such an accomplishment for players in this era. Good on Connor, you earned it!!!

100 assists in a season belong to Wayne Gretzky, Super Mario Lemieux, Bobby Orr, and now McDavid. Looks like Kucherov will also join that list. Felt bad for San Jose. Rooting for them to put up more of a battle. Sharks better than an American League team but not as good as an NHL team. No man's land kind of thing. Also felt bad for Cooley. Hope he has an excellent career ahead of him. Didn't really enjoy the game that much. Much rather have had a 4-3, 5-3 win over that evil Vancouver team than a rout of the Sharks. Bad time of the year to have a game like that whether you win or lose. Rather play a game that's more of a battle because that's what it's going to be come next week. Maybe it will give them a little bit of a much-needed mental break from the grind. Rather see Connor get number 100 against that evil Vancouver team. Moving the Coyotes to Utah? Think it sucks. I'd vote for Quebec. Already have an NHL ready facility unlike Utah where the rink is built for basketball and will need some sort of conversion for hockey. Bigger fan base in Quebec too. Bring back the Nordiques!! Seems like Bettman likes American teams.
