  1. Better than Granato. I'm reminded by the old adage, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Good luck Lindy.

  2. Not sure what to think. First heard about the Sabres in 2006, something my teacher will always rave about. Times have changed though. Not sure what he will do. Not being negative, just don’t want to get my hopes up.

  3. No Way, you just ruined my day, I cannot believe they hired this person back, sheesh

were doomed, we are never going to make the playoffs now, and here I thought our boys were progressing

GM Adams could not even interview a good Head Coach before this ridiculous move

this person even tried to coach the Stars after losing the Cup to them, and New Jersey smartly got rid of him

  4. Let’s end this 13 year nightmare and finish what we started. End the playoff drought. End the cup drought!

  5. Hit fits the job requirements whether or not he coached here before. He commands the respect of the fanbase.

Lock the Norris up for Dahlin next season.

  6. Hopefully the safe choice is the right choice for once. 🤞Great opportunity for an up and coming assistant to join Lindy’s staff. If everything goes well it could be a smooth transition in a few years. Welcome back Lindy.

  7. Berube or Gallant would have been better imo, though should be an improvement on Donnie Meatballs. Hopefully will bring in some decent assistant coaches who can sort out PP, faceoffs etc

  8. Sorry, but this is the wrong hire. Kevyn Adams should've taken some time, done a thorough review concerning the coaching candidates, and then hire someone who can put this team on the path to WINNING the Stanley Cup.

He had a chance to really go after Craig Berube, Joel Quenneville, Rod Brind'Amour, and even Claude Julien. No; he chose to "play it safe" and go with "nostalgia" and "familiarity."

(Had he gone with Coach Q, I would've seriously considered jumping back on the Sabres bandwagon after rooting for Chicago all these years because of Buffalo product Patrick Kane.)

Well, here's what I say about this… I give him only three(3) seasons to win the Stanley Cup; nothing less is acceptable. If he fails to win it all within the next three seasons, he's GONE like all the others who came since his time.

I'd like to be proven wrong, but I sense this will turn out to be yet ANOTHER story about professional sports in Buffalo -> opportunity MISSED!

  9. I’m gonna be going to a lot more games next year now that he’s back behind the bench as bench boss—put me down for at least a 10 pack! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  10. I just wish RJ was still here…all of this just doesn’t seem right without him and probably never will! 🕯️

  11. …now all we gotta do—is sign Kuznetsov in the off-season, and will be all set! 😏🙏🏻😏
