[Harrington] Beaucoup de discussions sur le commentaire « à deux chiffres » de GMKA. Il n’a pas interviewé à deux chiffres. On me dit que les seuls candidats réels étaient Lindy, Berube et Gallant. Il a probablement parlé à beaucoup de personnes. KA a étiré un peu la vérité. Ainsi soit-il. J’ai l’impression que Terry/Kevyn voulaient tous les deux Lindy. Alors pourquoi attendre ?

I think we all kinda got the feeling 10+ candidates was bullshit. Either way, Lindy is a great choice so im not mad.

It’s funny because Harrington is stretching the truth here.
GMKA said he talked to double digit coaching candidates. He never made any prior comment on how many he interviewed.
This is funny because it’s exactly the type of comment Harrington would harp on for days at any other time, but it’s not an issue here because he has a man crush on Lindy (and probably still riding the high of getting named dropped yesterday).
Is it really unfair to question these comments and the throughness of the process overall, especially considering the result? If Lindy was the pick all along then just say it.

I don’t know why anyone would be of a different impression after listening to the press conference. He just said that he spoke to 10+ candidates. Of course they didn’t interview that many. It’s hard enough to even come up with 10+ coaches that fit the description they were looking for, and of course all of them would not be interested in this position.
I think this coach search is way overblown. Im with Harrington (yuck). If they knew Lindy was the coach they wanted, why would they waste time with an exhaustive search? I see Kevyn’s comments about double digits and don’t really think it changes this.
Lindy wasnt my first choice either but he does bring a lot to the team and was better than others. Its certainly better than hiring another rookie HC to gamble on.
Harrington is the worst.
Terry running this team into the ground, gmka just being another yes man.
Who cares? It was a lame question that doesn’t matter. We got the right guy.
Maybe the backlash is due to some organizations spend more time hiring for a help desk or receptionist position than the Sabres do on a head coach. 😳
