Great Video, as usual, guys. I'd looked in on The Live Stream, but, I couldn't stay on, because of a commitment.
I think that Filk & comments are right, that Charlie Lindgren has been they're best player. I think that Darcy Keumper isn't the answer, but I do get the point that Marc is making, but, I think that he's trying to make the analogy about what had happened last year, with the change to Schmid by The New Jersey Devils, without making the analogy (it seems that the change, for whatever reason, turned the Devils' Series away from The Rangers). Denny Potvin slashed his wife with Billy Smith's paddle! The Fishstick goaltending currently is reminiscent of Eric Fichaud or Roland Melanson and where is Rick DiPietro when he's needed? Thanks Icelanders for ruining any chance of a potential second round matchup with the Broadway Blueshirts! We thought St. Patrick would be the difference, maybe if he activated himself the Fishsticks would have a better shot at sticking around this playoff, so for now pass the tartar sauce, Spano anf Milbury are waiting at the bar with the babes. As far as our series, we have to be awaiting the inevitable "rough stuff" to start as Washington's frustration is starting to boil over. It's going to happen, they know it, we know it, and Nicky Fotiu knows it. The Caps don't have the talent to make any adjustements so the chippy play present at all levels of hockey is inevitably going to surface. No doubt about it. Our guys gotta' keep their heads up! At this stage, tactics are thrown out the window because of the talent discrepancy, it will be the only option Washington will have to fall back on as this series gets uglier. Seriously, the Fishsticks can crawl back into this series with solid play in the pipes but as you guys stated, it's possible but unlikely. Concerning Jack Capuano, does he end up behind the bench in Jersey? On a serious note, a TSN report recently mentioned New Jersey's interest in Gerard Gallant! You read it correctly, GERARD GALLANT as Devil Bench Boss! The same report also mentioned Craig Berube. Next on Satellite Hot Stove, Ron MacLean to be activated as referee for Game 3 of the Washington-Ranger series. Can the officiating get any worse?
Guys, my apologies for doubling up the comments. I left the previous correspondence before the end of the video and when the topic of rotating netminders ala Captain Video was mentioned I had to reply. No Islander or Devil puns involved in this comment. Seriously, the rotation of goalies AT ANY TIME changes the flow and chemistry on the ice. A group will usually perform differently playing in front of different goalie depending on the confidence of the group in the netminder considering that particuliar netminders skill set. A coaching staff will defend or attack differently and it alters the mindset of the group. It completely upsetes that apple cart and is NEVER a good idea and quite frankly, it's not fair to the entire group. The idea is to simplify the art of winning, not complicate the process. Good Luck to David Quinn, a good enough guy from Cranston, Rhode Island, he'll land on his feet. I've heard the stories but he's a part of USA Hockey and wish him the best.
